Well, 100 years ago it was news and hog reports and now, it's people forcing their opinions on others and them often being gullible enough to believe what they hear.
There is a pretty large variety out there. I'm sure there is something you'd find interesting.

Or just do audio books or something like...MUSIC :)

Your kids are old enough to be out of the house, me, not so much.

So while I'm not FORCED to listen to anything, I sort of am. A bit.

Absolutely. I can recite Finding Nemo in my sleep!
I'm getting there with so many things. My oldest has been obsessed with Frozen and Frozen 2 since she was born pretty much.

At least they all are interested in learning to play instruments. Maybe I can show them good guitar players and hope for the best.

I forgot about this until just now.

I did have to enable parental controls on my Google Home devices because my oldest told it to play hip hop (the two older kids are in dance so they like everything) and it played hip hop. However, it was not censored and I got a fun surprise when I went into her room. She didn't notice (she's 8) but I did.

I laugh now, but that could have gotten real interesting, real fast.

Found this great sendup of Neil Young on an old SCTV clip. SCTV was very popular in the Northeast US in the late 1970s.
Bob & Doug...Beauty eh?

Covering two threads (Carlson & Rogan) in one swell foop.
Favorite quote: "Who is for censorship? Weak people." Kinda explains why I was banned from the 'vid thread...

Count Floyd was one of my favorites. Great show, most of the time.

Ever see 'Not Necessarily The News'?

I'm not necessarily a big Tucker Carlson fan but I think he pretty much nails it here...

Hell yes. That is once we convinced our parents to get cable TV and HBO. Then we broke that damn wired remote box by tripping over it. That was a hazard and a half.

It seems to me that Joe's statements are being cherry picked and some taken out of context. He's not shouting from the rafters that vaxxing is bad, but he has a lot of questions and quite frankly some of the answers he gets from the experts aren't that satisfying...

I know as a long time listener not to take everything joe says at face value and that he's not an expert on anything. I know that because joe is constantly reminding his listeners of it. He's not said anything that would make me personally not get vaccinated.
Fair enough. I really just wanted your pov of his character from the very start of this thread based on headlines and accusations, and if it changed after watching his response and receiving some more information.

If I'm reading you right, you did not have an opinion based on any headlines or even see any of the more sensational ones out there about it. No I don't have a link right handy, but if you think there aren't outlets shouting from the rooftops that he's doing it then you're mistaken. That is for sure the narrative being spun by some groups.
If conservative media are clinging to Rogan for his unbiased, just listening to the other side, and has no experience on viruses, I imagine there might be something going on underneath. His comment in the 5 minute clip is interesting. He said he didn't have time to get the Moderna, but eventually planned to but was cancelled due to I assume the risks with Moderna. Did he plan to get Pfizer or what? Funny too his assistant said he eventually broke down and got the first shot. Why? Because he's a "sheeple", or because he finally decided to side with the science? In other words, because Rogan takes all points of views, including the anti-vaxxer I assume, conservatives have embraced him for political reasons. Whether or not Rogan is complicit I cannot say.

Just like anything else in the media, they are taking comments out of context and adding spin. Either side can and does do this on a regular basis.

If you cherry picked from Joe you could paint him as both pro and anti vaccine. He doesn't get them himself (don't care why) but he's not Robert Kennedy in that he doesn't pretend he knows everything about them either.

Joe's not too bright, but he's not an idiot either.

But why would you continue to give the anti-vax a voice if there's less and less reason to believe in that vs. the shot? The science appears to be panning out. It's why Faux has been abysmal on covid and caused death (well like Cuomo). They've been in opposition to science for the sake of opposing the left. I'm guessing Rogan is blurring the lines so these fringe voices can be heard..

The fact that the White House is commenting on this is fascinating. I feel the media has blown this up to a level that part of the issue with Joe's platform is on them

It's human behavior to be curious and defiant about things your told not to do. If parents are too strict what's a pattern a lot of young adults go through as they enter society? They rebel and are attracted to whatever you denied them access to. That's not just youth it's a part of human nature.

I wasn't running around having anyone on the street at work or anyone else talking about Rogan and COVID the last 2 years but thanks to all this publicity from the press now everyone is paying attention.

I feel if they hadn't have reacted nobody would even be paying attention to Rogan and the guests he's had on Spotify. Basically by taking this stance people may have given him attention and a platform that wouldn't have been there

Most peoples minds are made up 3 years into this anyway. Your not going to change them now.

I saw the guest he had Malone right? The guy that claims he's behind MRNA vaccines? Thanks to that interview with Rogan I was able to do research and watch Malone and a lot of his claims get shredded by experts that I do trust.

So it can go both ways both negative and positive I guess

The Rogan Experience- censorship from lying. aka I have right to my lies & conspiracies. I do agree with the latter more, except when it comes to more people dying.

It's human behavior to be curious and defiant about things your told not to do.

Two years later? At your own peril. Thanks, Fox.
