There is no problem. This is the reason I am asking here, maybe there is something that I didn't do. No, I didn't do that. Can you be more specific please? Thank you so much.

All denon and marantz AVRs have a new first time setup procedure that will walk you through “amp assign” and speaker choices procedure. Usually at the bottom of choices from the “gear” button on the remote.

Since this is a 11.9 channel receiver and I don't have yet the Atmos speakers, the setup speakers are 5.1

Sorry for the disconnect I am suggesting you run the setup procedure. If its hooked into a tv via hdmi you can see the options better. If not you can read them off the front of the marantz’s front screen itself. There should be a “setup” or “gear” button on the remote. There are also some YouTube videos of setups that can help if you are unfamiliar with the procedures. Good luck.

That the issue persisted after a factory reset isn't a good sign. Going carefully thru setup is needed it sounds like, tho....it's not particularly a plug'n'play kind of thing. Good luck in figuring it out.

Then again since subwoofer 2 works and you've already figured out a workaround it sounds like it would still be functional.

The SW2 is working, the SW1 is not working with Audyssey setup.

Does negate the potential of XT32/SubEQ for two separate sub adjustments, then.....you might try a few factory resets in a row....can sometimes fix things but yours could be a physical connection issue as well perhaps.

I really don't know what is the problem there. I will try again. I have tried also with another SW and the results are the same. 1 not working....2 working

Starting to sound more physical than software/firmware related. Could be a poor solder joint or perhaps someone yanked on the jack by tripping over a sub cable or something....hard to know with used gear. Any chance the previous owner will help out?
