See, the issue I feel is that there are too many people here, and 'out there', that are more interested in throwing shade on others...those who don't agree with them they label as uninformed or ignorant...or just make up images of what their mutant adversaries are. So insults and personal attacks are everywhere. They are certainly more interested in their egos than adult discussion.

You guys have fun doing that. I'll try to find someone who wishes to discuss, in an intelligent manor, what is really wrong with this country, our biased people, and the consequences there from.

Adios.
Adios amigo!

I’m gonna miss your elucidating thoughts and moral equivalence, like the presidents ‘good people on both sides’ argument to justify blatant racism and violence to intimidate his opponents and allies.

Good luck with that rickety lemonade stand.

Yes, more shade ... I'm a terrible person.

Slow down and stop putting the 4 horsemen of the apocalypse in front of you. How many people took part in this riot? How many republicans support this out of the total republican population? How many people regardless of party leanings support this? I'm guessing its below a tenth of a pecent within the republican population and far lower factoring in the whole population. Its always the loud mouth shnook at the party that ruins it for everyone. This wont go far. Stand united and it and wont go anywhere.

Im having a family call in 5 minutes. They wanted to cancel the call and I said sure if thats what you want. I told them by cancelling the call that you are just empowering the idiot's riotous cause even though we live in Canada. Stand united and don't empower them.
Why would they want to cancel the call?

The National Association of Manufacturers have stated that Pence should consider invoking the 25th Amendment. NAM is not exactly a radical socialist organization.

>>>Manufacturers Call on Armed Thugs to Cease Violence at Capitol

“Armed violent protestors who support the baseless claim by outgoing president Trump that he somehow won an election that he overwhelmingly lost have stormed the U.S. Capitol today, attacking police officers and first responders, because Trump refused to accept defeat in a free and fair election. Throughout this whole disgusting episode, Trump has been cheered on by members of his own party, adding fuel to the distrust that has enflamed violent anger. This is not law and order. This is chaos. It is mob rule. It is dangerous. This is sedition and should be treated as such. The outgoing president incited violence in an attempt to retain power, and any elected leader defending him is violating their oath to the Constitution and rejecting democracy in favor of anarchy. Anyone indulging conspiracy theories to raise campaign dollars is complicit. Vice President Pence, who was evacuated from the Capitol, should seriously consider working with the Cabinet to invoke the 25th Amendment to preserve democracy.<<<

As much as I or you would welcome this, it ain't gonna happen.

It takes balls, which most Republicans and eunuchs don't have.

Three years too late and a few trillion dollars short.

It's about time. But, only for 12 hours!?
For starters, if he does not behave it could be permanent. I think Twitter even required Trump to remove a number of his own tweets or be banned.

I'm not so sure. There is serious consideration underway.

>>>Some Cabinet members are holding preliminary discussions about invoking the 25th Amendment, a well-placed GOP source told CNN. The discussions are ongoing but it's unclear if there will be enough Cabinet members to result in Trump's removal. The conversations have reached Capitol Hill where some senators have been made aware of the discussions, the source said.<<<

>>>With 13 days left in President Trump's term, confidants and Republican officials are considering drastic steps to stop him.

The big picture: These measures include censure, impeachment or invoking the 25th Amendment — a move, long dismissed as a liberal fantasy, in which Vice President Pence would step in if Trump were found to be unable to perform his duties.

  • This talk is coming from current and former White House and GOP Hill aides, and Republican lobbyists and political consultants — all of whom have either embraced him or quietly tolerated him until now.
  • Senior State Department officials are encouraging 25th Amendment discussions along with other officials at the White House and other departments, according to two sources involved in the discussions.
The state of play: Republicans are furious with the president for what they see as fomenting an attack on American democracy, disgracing their party and invading the sanctity of their chambers on the other end of Pennsylvania Avenue.

  • There's concern about whether the country can withstand another two weeks with Trump at the helm, and what additional chaos and division could be sowed.
  • There's also rage inside the GOP at Sens. Josh Hawley, Ted Cruz and others whose plans to object to Biden's certification gave oxygen to Trump, the protests and the notion that Congress could be used to overturn the will of voters.<<<

Trump agrees to "orderly transition" of power, whatever Trump means by that.

Well, his sad attempt to take over failed so he might actually realize he's lost and there isn't anything to be done about it. Especially since the house and senate have been lost to the republicans.

Then you don't get it. He's an extreme narcissist. You can't trust him. Period. The GOP have to separate themselves from him. If that means the 25th than so be it.

Seriously, I have no life.
We gotta find humor in the absurd...I just hope she is ok.
According to someone who said they tried to stop the bleeding, she died where she fell.

She was in the Air Force for 14 years, four tours of duty.

Dying while participating in a violent insurrection on the Capitol premises.

I think a large portion of the GOP is stuck with him. Not condemning these actions will be remembered by those that actually care about this country.

The ones that support his coup? Lucky for us the all seem to be too dumb to pull it off.

I really want to actively campaign against Ted Cruz. I hope TX wakes up to how much of a POS that guys is. Not that we weren't aware before this, but still.

I'd agree that it's sad, but she made a conscious choice and payed the price. Nobody made these people do what they did. I don't have a lot of sympathy in general, but even less for situations like this.

Pence already turned himself into political kryptonite with the Trump base by refusing to go along with Trump's bizarre assertions that Pence had the power to reject the election results. At this point, he has little to lose by invoking the 25th Amendment.

According to Inhofe, Pence is furious at Trump.

I was hoping for guilt-by-association, but I wouldn't be surprised if the moment gives Pence a springboard for a 2024 run. The Republicans' reactionary movement is a little late for me.

I just don't understand how anyone that aligned themselves with Trump is surprised at all with what is going on. Par for the course as far as I can see.

On one hand you have to wonder why the security/police were so willing to let them in. You'd wonder if its because they're Trump supporters or want the election turned over, but I'd wager that if it were me, I'd have moved the barricades too.

My reason? "You guys want him? Go get him. Have fun." They have to be tired of all this.

I know when I worked in DC the security folks I had to interact with on the regular were already sick of this administration and that was two years ago.
