Back to the Revel PerformaBe 226 real quick...
If I went that route and paired it with a C208...am I "downgrading" the center? Should I only look at the C426Be because it is in the same "tier" as those floorstanding speakers?
There was mention that I want to look for the best possible center channel because my main goal is movie watching and almost all the dialogue comes out of the center channel...
I might have to take out a loan to afford this but I don't want to settle for something I will regret in 5 years.
Edit
@shadyJ - I am going to use this system for movies mostly. They will be 4K Blu-Ray movies with DTS-X, Dolby Atmos, etc...I like to play the movies LOUD (i.e. floorstanding speakers). I also LOVE rap/hip-hop music so I may play some of that but mainly movies/video games on this.
I think I will end up going with a ported sub...I understand the differences in general (coming from car subwoofers, I have 2x12" JLW6 - sealed in my truck...only reason they are sealed is because the box is built by JL specifically for my truck...02 Cadillac Escalade EXT, so the box replaces the midgate in my vehicle...would have preffered a ported box but it didn't exist). My room is too small to have dual subs right now but in our next house I assume we will be in a bigger room so I would be able to add the 2nd then
Edit 2
@mazersteven - Can you give me a "dumb" comparison between the F208 ($2,500) & PerfromaBe226 ($3,500)...total of 2k difference, which is a decent amount today but over the years, will I be disappointed I didn't spring for the PerformaBe226? As asked in the post above, if I do the PerformaBe226, can I pair them with a c208 center channel or should I not mix those two "tiers"? The center channel for the performabe series is just SO EXPENSIVE
