With these purchases, all were as described and like I said, I never settle for anything less than VG+. It is not always going to be 100%, but I have had tremendous success weeding out folks who do not know how to describe a record. The vinyl is obviously the most important thing, but I also do not want a jacket that looks terrible. So I would generally pass on a VG+ record in a G jacket. Good means good, but to me it does not
I have also purchased several new on Amazon. It's great because most newly pressed albums are on 180 gram vinyl. One that I bought was Ringo's self titled only because I needed the jacket! I had a mint original release but no jacket and I do not remember why! But as it turned out, one song has a different version, so as a Beatle collector, it was a nice find/purchase. I have always loved that album. I went to a garage sale last year on my motorcycle and brought home 10 or 12 LP's including Deep Purple, The Guess Who, The Animals, Rickie Lee Jones (st), Foghat (ha!), Doobie Brothers.
