I’m sure you’re getting it right.
This is what my displays look like.
Sony:

Marantz “info button”
See , I don't get this Dolby when I hit info on Marantz

What are your exact settings on both devices in order to achieve Dolby Atmos!?

Weird.
Sony setting is auto. Then select Atmos track on disk menu.

Marantz, push the green “movie” button on the bottom until you get to trueHD/Atmos. Can show pic shortly.

Is your Sony directly connected to the Marantz?

You know I checked Apple TV playing digital copy and the Marantz shows this!!

So perhaps I'm missing a setting under AVR options??

Huh...even my dish connection shows this much. Let me scratch my head some more.

Did you select the 4K disk? I know, dumb question but sometimes it’s that simple. Actually nvm...the multichannel pcm thing says it’s in the player. Thinking...

Thanks for checking the Sony

Yes I did choose the 4k disc

It's strange. I must be missing something under the Marantz options

No worries!
Maybe a factory reset and/or update firmware?

Perhaps this could be because I didn't enable Dolby vision under Apple TV setting

I have it set to match content and Hdr

Can’t say about that. ATV is still on my wish list. My viewing is either dish network or on disk. I do have Netflix but only use it in the winter when I’m actually in my house all the time. Even then, I use NF with my 700 or PS3. Not a fan of streaming yet. It’s convenient but compromised.

I don’t see anything in my Marantz menus that stand out.

I would try and do an update and or reset the Sony. Assuming it’s connected directly via hdmi, setup for auto/bitstream, and you have the right disk with the right track selected( endgame only has one choice really on the 4K disk but I always check every time), it should be working.

When I push the “movie” button I see this.

I don't get those options at all when I go to disk settings!!

Or even under the Marantz there's no option for Dolby at all!!

Very frustrating

From the main disk menu, go to setup, languages and it should be right there.

The Marantz remote should have a series of colored buttons for sound mode options....movie, music, game, pure. When you press movie you should see the available sound modes (which vary with content format somewhat). On my Denon remote it takes a several second press of that button to bring up the on screen menu of sound modes, tho....don't know if Marantz does the same.

Oh duh!!!! I meant the last pic to show what HD said. Thought that was clear.

Yeah Chris, my Marantz does the same but it’s only about 1 second. The response time in general though is slower than my Onkyo was. That took awhile to get used to.

So I was able to set the Blu player to Dolby Atmos yah!

But definitely the Marantz is not giving me option to select Dolby when I hit movie

Only options are stereo and multi ch

What am I missing on the AVR??

What? How’d you get to select Atmos?
