As good as this system looks, it sounds even better. I have heard it in person and it rocks.
Nearfield systems are usually done as a compromise to the room or furniture layout. I don't know if many people choose a nearfield setup if they can do as
@Pogre has done and use a traditional golden triangle approach.
My music room is small. As in 10x10x10 small. My only choice for great sound is a nearfield setup. When I'm in my listening chair and I recline it back, my feet are almost between the two front speakers. My sub is sitting behind my listening chair and actually touches the chair sometimes. You absolutely can't tell where the sub is from a listening point of view. It integrates perfectly. Nearfield (at least in my case) is also a game of inches. The sweet spot is truly a wonderful sweet spot but it is tuned for just one person.
I love my little room. If I had a bigger room, I would probably choose a more traditional approach and layout.
