Dunno, was looking more at the tonearm pivot area....on the platter could be foil....

I thought you were referring to the tacky guy who's being discussed elsewhere.

Naaah, it's just not for me. I'm not a guy who'd buy a TT like in your picture, but I also draw a line in the other direction. Blue tac will not come close to my KEF's or any of the equipment for that matter.

Anyway, back to the spikes in the role of decoupling, when I think about it, if a small contact surface is suppose to cancel the transfer of vibrations, then this device wouldn't work:

Right? The surface of the small ball tip is just a single dot, so it shouldn't transfer anything.
