Some of that is being scared of his power being unleashed on themselves; no backbone.
Well, some are but not in position to do what is necessary. Maybe soon, hopefully as this cannot go on for two plus years.

Looks to me like Vance is playing his cards right. You don't hear from him much so that means he's trying to distance himself from Trump.

He was and may still be under the influence of a billionaire who groomed him for a long time to place him where he is now.
