Just curious....sometimes that's the winning argument, sometimes not :)
Oh, I know. Boy, do I know.
When I was working fine dining in SF for a paupers income, she wouldn't have it. When I got my private chef gig and was earning more, she didn't say anything. With in a month of her getting a promotion and the raise that went with it, she started chewing on me again.
When she stopped working for a while and it was just me... Didn't say sh!t. When she started complaining things were tight, I lit her up. She found the where-with-all to get a job again.
This is life.
Rich/Poor, Better/Worse, Thick/Thin...
How do you get through?
I sure don't have the answers, nor am I trying to pretend I do. I'll be the first to play it sweet, and I'm not ashamed of that. And on more than one occasion in 15 yrs, this whole thing coulda gone pear-shaped on us.
I'm grateful it hasn't. ;)

Yes, but it usually involves you living a lonely, sad existence while paying child support and wondering how to meet women.
:eek::rolleyes::p
Damn Ryanosaur you described me perfectly except for the child support part! I never had kids. Guess it pays to be like Burger King and never forget to wrap your whopper!!!!

Yes. Waf exists. Waf is stupid. We both have waf here. Wife approval factor, and wills approval factor. In other words, I live here too, and pay for the mortgage so guess what. I get at least 50% vote.

We usually consult each other and agree on things so it stays fair. I read about guys who have to get approval, and sign their life away just to get a soundbar. That’s ridiculous. No one spouse should have absolute say. Fukk that.
You go bro!!!!!! Making me proud!!!!! :D

And no one should have a sound bar. Ha
If I die and go to the place where you've been bad I think that's what'll be waiting down there for me. Is an audio room for all eternity with nothing but a.... SOUNDBAR!!!!!

I suppose next you're going to tell me you did all this to get not only your own gear selection, but also get a room and solitude to go with it rather than have to share it with others in the great room? Crafty? Just a lucky bybroduct? :) I think it is quite civil to have man caves (multiple) as well as she-caves....heck even separate bedrooms can work for some I've known.
I think that's how theater rooms got created in the first place lovin! :D

I'm in the fortunate spot to be single so the only person I have to make happy is me! But I've seen true love with my parents some of my friends and being serious now I understand totally why some of you fellas compromise your freedom to make that person happy. Real love and the right one she's worth every little compromise like lovin said that's why God created man caves! Or she caves for that matter!

I think having a man cave has been a real blessing the past 10 years especially when I work from home, but I do spend as much time outside as possible in my straw cowboy hat. :). ( in Seattle that’s just a few months:) ) I really want to set up some outdoor speakers near the grill actually instead of rocking the Bluetooth speaker all late spring/summer. LOL :)

Here, here! I second that! I wanna set up some good outdoor speakers for the deck and gardens! And keep the man-space too. (I’m anti-cave... probably stems from my depression days and basement rock lifestyle back in college :) )

The ones that aren’t joining the thread couldn’t get spousal approval to do so!

And yes, William and I both have. We deal with it somewhat successfully. We are each having positive engagements with our spouses over our various lifestyles.

You want to hear the negative stories?

What’s yours, @Pedro Alvarado ? ;)

W.A.F. Is a thing in my house too but in a different way. She just wants to be involved in the process and usually ends up talking me into more expensive stuff... I can live with that!
