Once again: what are you listening to now?

Thomas Dolby? LOL! "Blinded me with Science" is nutty! LOL!
Yes very much so. But, I like the music. One of those hits that just brings back a flood of memories. One day you will know more of what I am talking about. Over time things/experiences get imprinted on our brains that stay with us for the rest of our lives. It happens w/o us realizing it. Only when we look back later in time do we realize such experiences. :)

Cheers,

Phil

Like smells?
Yeah, certain smells could imprint on your brain as well. Like when my Grandmother used to make homemade bread. Those yeast rolls were the bomb! She was amazing at cooking. I will never forget those times. Really miss my Grandmother. :(

Hey Mr. Mike! Happy Friday! I'm listening to "My Pet" by Paul Whiteman and His Orchestra featuring Bing Crosby on vocals on an original 1928 78 rpm record on a Dual 1019. Whew! That's a lot of info!

Oh, and your profile picture is very funny Mr. Phil! It's so ironic. :) Mine is camp, it's so bad it's good. Camp is an aesthetic, ya know?

I know what you mean, Mr. Phil. Many eras bring back memories of great music. Sadly, all I'll have to look back on when I get older is that crappy music like Justin Bieber, so on, so on. I'll still be listening to 100 year old music when I'm 70! Whoosh!

Ryan I chose that pic b/c I used to be in my local marching band. had the time of my life doing so. When I was in the 6th grade I played the trumpet. In middle school I switched to the baritone. Later in high school I played the euphonium and tuba. However, I marched the baritone in marching band. Even to this day I still follow it. Find it all very exciting. The BOA Grand Nationals is very soon. Looking forward to it. :)

Phil

It's overcast down here, but quite nice since it's been so hot down here! How often do you see alligators down there? I think they're pretty plentiful in the Bayou State (Of course they are!)

Also, thank you for the compliment on my music taste. I was telling Mr. Phil that when I'm 70, all I'll have to look back on in my decade of teenage and young adult years is crappy autotuned music like Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, etc. LOL! Yes, Bing sure did know how to sing a tune or two! You know he financed Ampex to make the first reel to reels in America? You have to praise Ol' Bing for that!

Oh I almost forgot, it’s Free Ryan, there are a lot of Stations where you can subscribe for a small fee, you get no commercials, there are few and far between the commercials that is, for the free use.

Yeah today's music is not that great. It seems like the talented ones have all but left. You are very young. Who knows maybe things musically speaking will turn around for the better. My tastes are rather eclectic. In other words, I can appreciate all types of music for the most part. Glad that you like some of the music I post. :)

You played a wide variety of instruments in the band, Mr. Phil! I chose not to be in a marching band, as I'm not a very good drummer, or wind instrument player. I don't have a knack for those instruments. I used to play the saxophone some, but it needs tuning up and I haven't had the time to do that.

I do like Passenger's music, he's soft rock/folk stuff, his voice gets on my nerves a little though, it sounds like Dobby from Harry Potter that's smoked 100 or so cigarettes! LOL!

Here in New Iberia we have Avery Island, think “Tabasco” hot sauce, very famous Island, well on that Island there are hundreds if not thousands of alligators it’s also a bird sanctuary.
