And we have Kate in skin tight black leather outfits :D
The thing is though "Kate" has gone on record saying that she never ever wears panties. So, say when she is crawling through a tunnel with a very good rear view keep that in mind. I know I sure do. Love the Underworld series myself. Hopefully, they will come out with a new one soon. I am getting a bit impatient b/c I am a true SyFy nut!

Yes Tomatoes what do they know, there not even a real fruit.

I was actually half way through Rise of the Lycans, but thought why not. :) I know your PP&Z is Atmos, but I thought the up mix of my Dvd did a stellar job, but indeed I think Underworld tops it. :D. I still have hundreds to re- watch I really need to stop backtracking. :)
I think PP&Z is pretty hard to beat in Atmos, so I have NO CHOICE but to re-watch Underworld in ATMOS tonight. :D

When you were upmixing PP&Z, did you get the dialogue panning effect from front to rear speakers during a scene when the sisters were walking into town with the cousin guy? It sounded almost 3-dimensional like you would hear people talking as they pass you on the street.

I knew it was only a matter of time before you replied to the posts regarding Kate/Underworld. :D

But yeah, Underworld gets a free pass from me.

So far only "Underworld" and "Underworld Blood Wars" got the Atmos treatment. I hope they will remaster all the other Underworld movies in ATMOS so I can have another excuse to re-watch. :D

The wife: Are you re-watching Underworld to see Kate without her panties?
The husband: Absolutely not! I'm only watching because of the Dolby Atmos remaster! :D

Possibly I may need to recheck

In Atmos, that scene from PP&Z was pretty amazing - kind of like the dialogue panning effect in "Gravity".

But I thought the Atmos dialogue panning effect in PP&Z in that scene was more gradual and natural like a group of people talking and walking pass you on the street.

You know me pretty well.......LOL!!! Kate Beckinsale is my favorite actress and she plays Selene very well. The fact about no panties is just icing on the cake for me. :p I do think Kate plays the role very well. It just so happens to be that she is quite beautiful as well. At the current age of 45, I say she looks fantastic to say the least. If this was not a family forum, I may had worded that a bit differently........LOL!!! Got to keep it PG/PG-13!

Cheers,

Phil

PS: Happy wife=Happy life & not the doghouse.........LOL!!!!!:)

Not sure, think I am probably going to say no. Just prior to that, with the demise of Mrs Mcgregor that is all over the back and up to the ceiling. :DThen Matt Smith on the road drifts across the front and around back left twice. When we enter the town. Most of the dialogue is from the centre but there is ambient around from the other passers by. But Matt calling back and the friend at the end seem to be from the centre. :( I tried both DSU and Neural X. I thought for a moment DSU was doing a better job but switching back and forth it actual seems fairly similar.

1 - Nil to Atmos.:D

Well, at least you got plenty of panning effects there with DSU/DTSNX.

Both!! Just Incase there is better a better audio mix, umm better camera angles of Miss Kate’s Derrière!. Top of the morning to ya Sir!! :)

Mike
In the mean time, I will just use the slow motion mode and zoom functions on my remote. In fact, have to do that many times when it is something like that to look at. Have seen a few good shots to be honest. Kate is an amazing talent. Just so breath-taking beautiful. Okay I will stop b/c the rest is not so much PG-13..........LOL!!!!!!:p

I did quickly check out UW Blood Wars Atmos. The Atmos Track sounded pretty great. But will need to re-watch both in Atmos just to be sure. :D

Red Dawn (1984)
VHS Pal Hi-Fi / Dolby Stereo - DSU

Sound is bit bass shy thin but there is bass just needs a bit of tweaking of the system to get one film to sound okay. Surround effects was okay the DSU seems to even give VHS new life.

Wow. VHS (240p) seems like another lifetime ago - past life. :D

You are truly dedicated! :D

But I have seen plenty of 720p TV series in 2CH stereo (AAC) upmixed with DSU and the surround quality (especially center dialogue) sounds great.

I wondered why the sound sounded thin on "Red Dawn" I forgot when setting up a new player into the system the Audyssey multeq 32 switches ON. Switched it OFF and used the regular Marantz SR6012, EQ.

Only few VHS pre-recorded films and some personal ones. I may get a linear Stereo only of a film but surprised some are bit pricey like, Firefox VHS Pal (1982) rental version.

The only downside is the picture dropping out due to these new AVR that are totally digital domain and if it senses a brief picture interruption of the video signal the picture goes blank/black for several seconds. The only way around this is to connect video direct to flat screen own video input and select video mode when VHS is being played unless I can suss out the issue which I working on to solve as its bit of downside to the AVR where's my Onkyo TX SR875 didn't have this issue and upscale picture without seeing this odd, dotted/wavy signal picture noise mostly in brighter colours it sticks out like a sore thumb on Marnatz SR6012.

Good Ridley Scott film with Michael Douglas and Andy Garcia. One of my very first Red HD Dvd discs (and yes we too still have the VHS). ;)

Ken Takakura (Masahiro), known as the "Clint Eastwood" of Japan.:D That made me smile. Also in my other favorite American "I don't understand the culture" Japanese film, Yakuza with Bob Mitchum, 1974. Hopefully I will see it again sometime. :)
