Listen to specific 2 or 3 way speakers, the design and execution count for a lot more than whether they're simply a 2 or 3 way speaker. I don't even own a 3 way speaker currently, been a long time since I did. I have several different 2 way designs and a 2.5 way. Then again I use subs so in that sense each 2-way speaker becomes part of a 3 way in the final implementation....

I think the same as you. Whatever speaker sounds best to my ears is preferred. Doesn't matter 2-way or 3-way or bookshelf or tower or dome or ribbon...

To my ears and auditioning speakers of the same model and series, the 3 way speaker will usually sound and perform better than their 2 way unit.

Thanks Dan, when I have company, folks always complement the quality of the sound of the speakers, it's refreshing to hear that but what's more important to me is that I appreciate that they are enjoying themselves and their're comfortable.

With that being said, what ever sounds good to the individual or individuals is the deciding factor...Thanks Herbu...
