Well, you retirement guys earned it! :D

Do you have a "list" of things to check off?

House, Home Theater System, Car, etc.?

Sometimes I feel like I have to make a "list" in order to get a since of "completion". :D

Like if I could complete this artificial list, then I wouldn't have to worry about it when I retire in 20 years or something. :D
Oh yes a bucket list for sure and audio is not even on the list. It's travel and doing things out of the house.

You mean "Audio" has been checked off the bucket list as completed?

As much time as some of us spend on Audioholics and forums and upgrading our systems over the years, I would think Audio is on the list somewhere. :D

No list. How could you make a list? Corvette... no, Porsche... no, Ferrari... no, Jeep... no, Rolls... no, SS 396... no, SL550...
With a list, I would have worked until I was 200.

Rather than a list, we made a budget. X income per month forever. Within that budget is my allowance. So I have to decide what is my priority toy. So let's see... would I rather have a pair of 8Ts or a pair of Phil3s & a Jeep & a boat...

We have pretty simple tastes, and already have everything we need or want. It is very difficult to come up with anything for Christmas and birthday presents. It's not that we have a lot. It's more that we don't want a lot. So our target retirement budget was not extravagant. My suggestion for retirement planning is to decide what income you will need and want, and plan for that. Include a reasonable discretionary allowance for you and your spouse. Then as long as you live, you can have fun discovering, re-prioritizing, planning for and buying your next toy... without any disagreements about somebody spending too much.

So have they been shipped yet?
I texted the dealer on Monday. He said he would take care of it on Tuesday. I will call him tomorrow if I don't hear anything. :(

Just in case you were wondering, yes, the money for the RBH speakers has been paid in full in June.

The "List" does seem arbitrary. But it doesn't have to be explicit. One of those "dream cars" would work. One of those "dream houses" would work. One of those "dream home theaters" would work.

It's like your "been-there-done-it" list. Another dream car, dream house, or dream home theater system would just be another car, house, or system that isn't really any better, but just different (if even that).

With audio, I feel like I've seen enough and owned enough that when I see guys telling me, "OMG, you should try this new fad because it is the best I've heard", I would think to myself, "Been there, done it - just another system". :D

Of course, family and friends are always salient. ;)

Nice!

Now the question of the day, are you planning to go to work on Wednesday...or play with the new toys!

Well, it would depend on 2 conditions. 1) If I know for sure from the freight company that my speakers will be delivered on Wednesday (probably after 3 pm when I'm off work anyway), 2) I may see if I can get another pharmacist to work my shift so I can be off on Thursday. :D
DON"T FORGET, pictures pictures pictures pleeeeeeaaaaaassssseeeee!!!!! ;-)

I think for the roller coaster/ cliffhanger you've left us on, pics only cover part of the deal. You're also going to have to factor in personalized listening sessions for each member that enlists.

Just saying'! ;-)
