I have bought Yamaha R-N800a and trying to access the advanced menu following the steps provided in the manual (attached) but it doesn't work and always the device open into the normal menu.
Do anyone can advice?

Try a soft reset before trying to access the advanced setup menu again? Soft reset is unplugging from power for a bit, a reboot of sorts.

How to do hard reset?
Not sure a hard reset is possible. Can't find any information it can be reset. I can't find it in the manual. I can only find information on he to reset RX-V or HTR receivers. You will have to call Yamaha. You might have to send it in for service.

I hope someone from Yamaha check why are the steps stated in the manual didn't work.
I think it's a firmware problem.

What is the problem you are trying to reset the unit for? A failure can also prevent a reset, if it is a hardware failure and not a software failure.

to change the language or change the speaker impedance I have to access the advanced menu, I really wonder why its not working through the steps stated in their manual.
The advanced menu is important to be accessible.

Connect it to your router with an ethernet cable- DO NOT use WiFi for any updates or anything else, IMO. Wired works, WiFi MIGHT work.

Look for a button called 'Initialize' in Advanced Settings.

Once it has finished, turn it on and go into the Network area to find its IP address. Once you have found that, use a computer or tablet to open a browser window and type the IP address followed by /setup

Using a computer is far better than using an app or the remote with the menu on the display.

The problem is that I can't access the advanced menu to select the initialize step.
IP address followed by /setup doesn't work like the AVRs, also accessing the setting through the web is not stated in their manual.

Can you find the IP address? Enter it in the search bar and you should see a screen that has buttons for setup at the bottom.

Did you add the MusicCast app to your phone?

Have you contacted Yamaha about this?
