Was there a reason you didn't use crossovers?
At the very least most tweeters need a cap to filter out the lows, but most midbasses can handle having highs sent to them because they simply cannot reproduce them and it should do no damage, however the resulting sound will more likely than not, not be very good when the sound of the two drivers combines.
