What To Do To Improve System

Ordered four 24"x48"x2" panels but am still thinking about speakers. I was considering a pair of Axiom M22s for $424.00 through their outlet store. I did the same with my QS8s and couldn't find anything wrong with them and was pleased with the deal. I also came across reports about the EMP E5 Ti towers on sale now for $400.00. I have looked at other speakers, I should say read reviews/opinions, and really haven't made up my mind. Or, stay with the Monitor 3s for now and get the sub? Your thoughts/opinion??

The Monitor 3's are a pretty darn good speaker. I have spent a little time with these and while the midrange is not quite as good as the Mini Monitor it is still very respectable. Since your using them mainly for HT hold on to them and continue to work on the room like you are. The sub would also be a better upgrade as well. HSU subs work really well with the older Paradigm Monitor series as well.

It's pretty neat to see a couple of guy's still running their older Yammy 659's as I am. What a bargain this unit has been.
Still think this is one "clean" sounding receiver. I have upgraded just about everything else in my set-up, but this unit, and it surely holds it's own.
Have added an external amp to give push to new speakers.

The missing HDMI is fixed with a switch. Only the newer audio codec's are missing, but since I am not moving to 7.1, makes me wonder whether there is any benefit to a new receiver or pre/pro.

The corner trap thing sounds like something I need to investigate myself.
