"If only that were all of them." My wife, probably.
I had that problem at one time. I moved to quality over quantity.

That's when she said to me that "I have a smartphone and know how to Google the model numbers." Decorum keeps me from quoting her after I came home with KEF Blade 2 Meta and she used Google to look up the list price. It took a LOT of careful pleading to assure her that a sold the previous speakers for a premium and the dealer gave me a killer discount.

Congrats on the new speakers!

I just ordered an Apple iPhone 16e.

My the battery in my old SE (Gen 2) now needs to be recharged twice a day, even when most of the time it's on standby with just Bluetooth & Wi-Fi enabled. The Lightning connector was getting loose and annoying too. One of the best features of the 16e is battery life. I got a little over 4 years out of the SE, so about par for the course I guess.

I went for 128 Gig version of the 16e, as to get anything fancier (like a 16 Pro, or Plus with more memory) drives the cost beyond what I consider outrageous already. My present Spigen wallet type case, which I really like won't fit it, so I'm shopping for a new case. I may go for a separate magnetic wallet on a "magnetic" spec'd case so I can use wireless charging as I already have an Apple MagSafe Charger (2M)

and 30 Watt USB C Power Adapter

Of course the iPhone doesn't come with those.

I'm looking forward to the new iPhone 16e.

It's been a really long time! I think I posted it on their website as part of a contest (on the long list of things I never win.)

No clue on the date.

Hey, since we're on the subject of what new thing have you bought, this is today's: A 2025 Triumph Tiger Sport 800. Many accessories on order that will take some weeks to come in, such as the "GT Pack" that is the panniers, the color-matched infills for them, the heated grips and hand guards. Also ordered the color-matched belly pan, the LED fog lights, the auxiliary power socket, and the center stand.

Upgraded from Red, was a good deal at Axpona. I also added a WiiM Ultra to pair with other set of Kanto Powered speakers
... Ortofon...
That name brings back fond memories (of vinyl) The cartridge may even still be rattling around somewhere...
Possibly near the B&O sp12...

Enjoy!

I have the same TV since last September. It is fantastic. TCL is working on new firmware, which is said to further improve PQ and the menu.
So far impressed with the performance. Didn't pay a bunch for it 499 + tax. Was looking at another Sony X90l to pick up. But at 500+ more thought I'd give TCL a try.

Not disappointed. I may pickup Sony's new B-5 this year. I'm waiting for TCL to rollout the new firmware update. I been reading of a (beta) update that others have already installed with really good results.

I'll wait though for via Network install. DV is really good! Highlights pop! no banding issues the blacks are really great. Sure nothing can beat an OLED far as picture quality. But price and potential burn in. 65" is my preferred choice for HT room, figured why not. So what if I only sit 6 to 7 ft away. Photo from 55" photo isn't altared using a cheap cell phone camera.

It's astonishing what you can get for so little when it comes to TVs now.

I know people say that OLEDs are expensive, but you can get a c3 LG 65" for $1200. I paid $3500 for my old Panasonic plasma and it'll never touch the PQ of my OLED tv.

$500 for 65" TV that has a GOOD picture is absurd. It's also awesome.

That pic you took looks great.

OLEDs were expected to start dropping in price due to new manufacturing processes. With the tariffs though, prices may stay close to where they are.

I seen the LG 65" C3 at my local BB store picture was phenomenal! I want an OLED for my HT setup. I've read that the LG C4 even better (brighter).

I was very hesitant on getting this TCL after my last cheapo Hisense had so many issues. To be honest I wasn't expecting this type of performance out of a 500 buck tv. Really though, no issues as of yet.

I don't have the funds like some of the others here on AH. So I'm always looking for good value deals. I do really want an OLED for my HT setup, just afraid of the burn-in issues. I do fall asleep sometimes, will be for hours then I wake up lol. I'd be heartbroken to wake up to burn in.

I love the very thin panels that LG has on their OLED's. I do like LG's C4 a lot. Been researching that one comparing it to Sony B8. Like you, I had a Plasma cost close to 2k was a 3D tv loved it, sadly lasted only 18 months.

Burn in is less likely with the current gen sets, at least from the likes of LG, Sony and Samsung. It is definitely still possible, just you would need to have it on torch mode and left static for a long time; like days.

They all have screen refresh processes that run when the set is off that can "reset" burn in effects after use. The problem is that they don't always trigger when they should. RTings did a little piece on this and how you might mitigate it on some set. I believe it was Sony that was the most problematic, LG having some gotchas and Samsung's method being the most reliable for running it - but it's been a while. They may have firmware updated some of those issues out by now as well.

Even beyond that pixel refresh thing though, you still have to be pretty hard on the set to get notable burn-in with modern OLED TVs. Like a logo on screen for 8 hours straight per day or something. Heavy console gamers might need to be a little cautious as well if it's the same game for long stretches with a fixed UI.

I am seriously thinking of picking up a new OLED PC monitor soon. I'm a little more concerned about it there. I figure with the modern mitigations and a relatively short screen sleep time when not in use (which I already use), it's likely to be a non-issue.

Previous TV, I avoided OLED due to burn in possibility. The next one is likely to be an OLED, in the next year or so, unless we decide to move.
