NICE! Haven't seen them in concert. I have seen Tool. Excellent show.
I've seen APC before, not Tool lol. APC's last show is definitely one of my all time favorite shows. Tool sells out super quick and they do very few shows around here for some reason. APC actually does a few shows every year for special events like New Years, etc... but those obviously are very hard to get into as well.

Yep. The last tool concert I went to sold out in 15 min. You gotta be on top of things for those guys. I almost went to see them and Primus, but the tickets were crazy expensive. I'm not paying $350 for a concert when it will pretty much be the same as the one I want to a few years earlier for $120. That and they haven't released their new album yet. I'll go once they tour for the new one.

The APC tix were slightly more than the U2 tix I bought a few months back. Floor seating was bananas too - like $190/ea. for average and $250 for good seats, $350 for first few rows. That's pricey for a college venue.

I actually really liked that movie. Yea, it was a little white washed, but still pretty good.
I thought it was decent, but could have been better. Some blatant changes to the story elements that alter the core concept and bits and pieces from various stories, but visually I thought they did a pretty good job. It was about as good as I expected, but hoped for more.

No worries!
I have that set-up and love it!
If the output of the dot is holding back the LSR305, it is not enough to bother me.
The best approach volume command is "Alexa, set volume to 6". This is 6 on a scale of 10 and where I like it for listening in my living room (I normally run it at 3 as back-ground music). I tested level 10 and it was over-bearing for me, but I wouldn't say it blasts me out of the room.
Generally, I would conclude that unless you are in a wide open space and like it loud, you will be happy.
Note that I have the volume knob on the backs of the monitors at their max setting.
I got it and it works and is quite a bit louder than my phone. Actually, it was your mention of using it with the LSR305's that made me try it. It sounds good. A perfect solution for what I needed. I had been looking at dedicated music devices like the FiiO and tablets.

Because I'm about as mature as your average 5 year old...I mean because I've got a 2 year old:

I always had this question when I see people with more than a pair of speakers. How do you use the multiple pairs? Depending on the mood, you switch them? or are the connected to separate set of amps/sources?

They can be set up in different ways. There are basic speaker selectors that can be purchased, but many of them require separate amps or amp channels for each pair of speakers. The way it's done in the picture you are referencing is a high tech super fast speaker selector that allows blind A/B'ing of speakers. I have a couple speaker selctors that are basic push button, but they still work well.

@fuzz092888
Gave you a reasonable answer.

My answer: Multiple systems in multiple rooms! :cool:

I did something rare, I bought a pair of speakers. Acoustic Research (AR) S20 speakers in like new condition for $71 total. They are from early 2000 and are well built and engineered, made in Europe by the former Recoton. The tonal balance is even, smooth, with no bass boost, no midrange boost, no boosted highs. They are better than them speakers on the regular Best Buy floor, present and past.
