Best single cup maker I know of is the $ 30 Aeropress....but a bit more manual than a maker.
Best one I know of is the Handy Brew - but I don't think they're around anymore. Permanent 2 stage filter and easy to clean. Still single cup for the most part, but is capable of large cups.

I bought an electric pressure washer the other week, a Karcher K1900.

I've never owned a pressure washer before, but I have borrowed one, or joined in with a neighbor to rent one. The one I borrowed was a smaller electric pressure washer. It worked, but not very well. It took a long time to clean a small area. It belonged to a neighbor, who got rid of it, and relied on a more powerful rented gasoline powered washer. The last time he rented one, I shared, but he did most of the work as he wanted to get everything done (including my front steps) to return the rental in one day.

My primary use is to clean the moss off of my brick front steps. The front of my house faces north, and my trees have grown large enough to shade it all summer. The last 2 or 3 winters have been so warm, the moss survived the winter. That moss was getting pretty shaggy in places.

I used it yesterday for the first time. It worked better than I expected, and I’m happy with it. I read the manual which strongly recommended using detergent to clean brick or concrete patios. I tried a small area that I wet with water without detergent, followed by another small area pre-treated with detergent. Yes, use the detergent, it makes things come clean faster.

This washer is among the largest and most powerful of the electric pressure washers I found. It came with a 25' pressure hose, a trigger gun, a 15" wand (I also bought a 24" wand), and 4 nozzles. One of them was a turbo nozzle which really made work faster. It lacks most other bells & whistles, like a reel for the pressure hose.

An owner’s review on Amazon (1st one of the reviews) convinced me to get this model. He said avoid longer hoses or a hose reel.

Interesting...manual wouldn't get the wife too excited though. The Bunn requires water for each cup and she's just getting used to that.
Yeah, I've had that reaction before from a couple that visits occasionally, they're really into their automatic drip machine that they can load up the night before and set a timer for....but it doesn't make very good coffee. I just have a tea kettle with water waiting to go on an induction plate set for the temp I want....takes a bit more setup but since it's mostly just for me works great. Best one to take camping, too.

Keurig has gotten so popular, but after owning the 2.0 k475 and the 2.0 k575...the older Keurigs that weren't as advanced (like the one we have at work here) they just work better.

$160 is a lot of money for a coffee (make that hot beverage) maker imo, but so far this Bunn is top notch.

Perfect fit for camping.

My wife and I both are long time coffee drinkers. The two of us would routinely drain a full pot every morning. The single serve concept did makes us cut back. With the Bunn you can brew at a slower speed for a stronger brew...not quite espresso strong, but one cup is normally it.

Our 2nd Kureig coffee maker broke about a month ago. We decided not to even bother returning it a 3rd time. We just pulled out the old Bunn residential coffee maker we've had for years.

Spoiled by the single serve convenience we started looking into Bunn single serve coffee makers and recently bought the MCU model.

We've had it about a month now and tried k-cups, tea bags, loose tee and fresh ground coffee.

The Kureig is more quiet, and quicker because the water storage tank supplies water immediately, but the Bunn is a more substantial machine...the water is piping hot and freshly ground coffee tastes awesome, as well as the k-cups. We don't know about longevity yet, but out of the box, it's a nice coffee maker.

$160 incl all 4 trays.

I've got the same machine, very happy with it.

Seriously, I have no life.
Got "Guardians of the Galaxy vol 2."
Great movie, lots of fun.

Had friends over and mid movie the center became muffled. What???
Next day discovered the tweeter was blown. And, it wasn't louder than usual.
Is there something in that movie that may have caused the overload on the tweeter?
Not cheap to replace.

I liked it, though it wasn't quite as good as the first. Still highly entertaining.

That sucks. I thought the audio was pretty good in this film, didn't notice anything unusual when we watched it.

Not simple to troubleshoot where the problem. Center EQ issue? Processor for some reason?
Break out the tools. Swap speaker to right speaker position. Same issue. Not EQ or processor.
Spectrum analyzer. Yep, dropped like a rock at the crossover frequency for the tweeter.
Pull the tweeter. Yep, no resistance, infinite R. Hunt for tweeter on line. Tampa dealer, dealer in Michigan.
Look for my records when and where I bought it.
Called local dealer on Saturday where I bought it ; too busy, call back Monday. Called Monday, gave all info. Still waiting for a callback. I guess they have enough other business.

Called JBL, yes they have it in stock; rather expensive vs online. Found in record another dealer I called in the past and the person's name. Yep still working there :) have it in stock, price is good and is on the way.

Maybe the abuse over 4 years is cumulative on that tweeter like hearing damage? ;) :D

I bought a set of Klipsch Forte' II's on eBay a month or so ago. They were damaged in shipping to me. Basically, three corners were damaged. The seller sent me some dough back to sort of make up for it. I put in Crites crossovers and titanium tweeter diaphragms, but wasn't exactly happy with the damage. I brought them to a local furniture repair shop. They fixed the corners and then applied fake wood grain to blend in. I got them home this week and painted them matte black. They turned out really nice! Then I put the drivers and crossovers back in place. I am fortunate that the grilles are black. A few scant months ago, Klipsch re-introduced the Forte's as Forte' III in matte black. My intention was to emulate that look and I think it worked! They sound amazing and I don't anticipate ever needing new mains again.

Yeah, if you like drip coffee Bunn stuff is hard to beat. The key is higher temperature of water.
But $160 for coffee producing beverage machine is really not a lot. Look up my thread in steam vent about it. Dark and bitter beverage.
Long story short, I've ended up buying last year a $2200 espresso machine. Why? Because I could afford it and never worry again about buying a new one and then I need to service it (not if) parts are readily available.

I'll have to check that thread out...sound like a good one.

If you bought a $2200 kitchen appliance that you could realistically get for maybe $150-200...I feel pretty confident you knew what you were buying and could afford it....lol

Our next appliance that we're getting tired of replacing are vacuums. 2-3 years is about all we get out most vacuums with full suction.

This is where my experience differs from your. Our oldest Dyson vac is nearly 8 years old still running as new, despite I bought it as refurbished. Plus I never had to pay for filters or any other replacement parts.
We bought a second Dyson vac to avoid carrying it to second floor (1st floor has 10 ft ceilings or bit more)

Just to present another view, I think the Dysons are plastic junk. I bought a refurbed upright 3.5 years ago, and the rod that releases the dust cup just broke. Not repairable. Once the cup fills up the whole unit goes in the dumpster.

I've had my Dyson going on 9 years without any issues. Having said that you can't beat a Kirby. Built like a tank and picks up what other vacs leave behind. If you've got a lot of carpet and like carrying heavy things it's just right.
