Interesting. I'm not the biggest fan of Sam Adams, but interesting none the less.

Just ground some Sumatra for tomorrow morning. It's a light roast and I'm going to make it a tad strong which is gonna be caffeine OD. I can't wait. Then I'm gonna go drive my truck around.

They make a few porters and I'm losing track of what I've had in the past.
That leads me to the question; has anyone tried one of those apps to log beer tasting?

I haven't tried many porters. I really like that one. I bought a Founders variety case awhile back and it was one of the styles.

Nope. I just use an old wine journal my wife had and never used.

I've used one of the beer logging apps. It was kind of fun, you update it and it can kick the info over to FB for you. You can check in with your friends on the app to see what new stuff they have had that you have not.

Personally, I got kind of bored with it after the first couple times. But I know others that use it and like it.

I read about a few of them online and was about to download one. Then I read the fine print, they want access to a lot of info on your phone, and GPS loc, etc. So I nope, noped my way out of that.

I was thinking of using the memo/note on my phone.

Don’t recall all the beer names, however, the Ore Dock and Blackrockswere by far my favorites. Lest favorite, Jasper Ridge, was like a brewery stuck in a laundromat.

We also hit up a small restaurant/pub/inn called Fitzgerald’sEagle Harbor Inn, which was voted one of the top 10 Michigan bars outside of Detroit. Unbelievable beer and liquorselection for it’s very remote location.
