Woah - 14 days since a post here? Did Kruppy start AA? :D

I went to Trader Joe's last night to get Niki some mint bone treats and picked up some La Fin du Monde, along with something I hadn't seen before - Stone "Go To" IPA. I tried the IPA last night. Decent to me, but probably really good if you're a hop head. It's only 4.5% ABV, so you get a lot of the hop taste without a high alcohol content.
I like La fin, but it's not cheap at my store. I had a Euphoria Pale Ale that was good last night.

Sweet Tea... After dinner I'll probably go with the Dogfish Head 60 Minute IPA. That there is going from one end of the spectrum to the other.:)

So, last night I had a Round Barn Brewery Kolsch style beer with my dinner; The Round Barn Brewery
It was very good. A little sweet, with a nice dry finish. Not too sweet, just a touch of sweet citrus. Very refreshing for a mid west, mid 70 degree July evening.
So, today I go to in my local shop and ask for a nice Kolsch style beer. The clerk, whom I trust, says she just tried this; Cucumber Kölsch | FLAT12 Bierwerks and it was very good. I buy a six pack and I'm out. I get home, prep my dinner, and figure, I don't have sh!t to do, so I may as well try one. Yeah, I'm thinking the Kolsch from last night was good and refreshing, now add cucumber and what could go wrong.... Um, yeah, it tastes like someone farted a salad. It's kind of like vegetable and fruit flavored IPA. NOT GOOD.

There's a Filipino restaurant in Texas?
I'm sure there are several, but I never actually searched any out until today. This one is only about 15 or 20 minutes from my house and it was pretty good, except for the cilantro thing. I am pretty sure it didn't say cilantro on the menu but I will check next time.

Not as good as my mom's cooking of course :)

drinking a paulaner salvator double bock right now btw

South east Asian cooking has cilantro in a lot of the food. I used to go to really good Filipino place in South Haven Michigan. I love pancit, lumpia, and toron. My favorite is Halo Halo. Man, now I'm hungry. Uh, I'm not drinking anything...

I grew up eating filipino food 99% of the time and my mom never used cilantro. I've also been to several dozen fil-am events and/or other filipino friends' houses and nobody used cilantro, so that's why I wasn't expecting it :/

I always make sure I say no cilantro whenever I'm at a viet place. I'll just make sure to say the same at this restaurant in the future :D

I'm not into the cilantro either. To me it ruins a good thai dish. Where did you go?
