And tell him it had better be a damn good podcast. No excuses later on that the storm made him rush with "post production". ;)

I was just reading the latest discussion on the NHC site. They say the storm is not weakening while crossing Florida and expect it to strengthen as it exits into the Gulf Stream on the east coast. So when it turns back into Florida for the return trip it should be a hurricane. Right now it's supposed to have sustained winds of 65mph.

In other words, Tom better get a move on with that podcast.

My grass has just about had it with the water. The ground can't handle it. And the storm has stalled over us. I have had the pool drain fully open all day to keep the pool from over flowing. It kept the pool from over flowing today, but didn't make a dent in getting the water level down.

I have never seen so many frogs, and lizards on the sides of my house.

Storm looks to have wimped out again (back to a Depression). It's absolutely amazing how they simply cannot predict the path or intensity of a storm even 12 hours into the future, but these same guys (and other scientists) try to predict how many hurricanes there will be or other even larger scale weather trends.

Wow I drove to work this morning. There is a tremendous amount of flooding in this area. Standing water you don't want to drive through. Also power outages from Eau Gallie to 192 on US1.

??? You actually expect to have customers today ???

There is major flooding and road closures all over Melbourne. Some of them are near your neighborhood. The rains have let up for now. It will take a few days for the storm drains to catch up.

Lake Washington, the lake next to my office, has risen over one foot in 24 hours. And that's a 4,400 acre lake that has a continually flowing river through it. NOAA Melbourne recorded 5.91 inches of rain yesterday. Add to that what we'll have today since midnight and you got some serious amounts of rain in less than 48 hours.

I just arrived back at home. They decided to close the dealership. What pissed me of it they put peoples lives at risk this morning having to drive, when there are flood warnings all over the place. I was very vociferous about my opinion about that.

Do you know the canal that runs through the Melbourne Golf Course? It's about 40' wide, and over flowing like a river. That canal is all of 15' deep by 192.

The first part of my neighborhood is about 3' under water. The water is over the sidewalks and getting close to some peoples foundations.

They said we had like 12" of rain so far.

Don't even start me on that one!!!

I may not be able to make it back home now. And I drive a pickup truck!
Lake Washington Road is already 12" under water and rising. My people can't leave and the other shifts can't make it into work.

If somebody want's to do me a favor and post the video of the guy singing "I'm About to Whup Somebody's A$$", I'd greatly appreciate it. I can't access YouTube at work.:mad::mad:

Why don't you just ask one of the Rednecks at work to give you a ride home?

I'm working from home again today, and my bedroom window is leaking a lot worse now that the rain is coming from the other direction. I already filled a 5-gal bucket once with wet towels, working on bucket #2.

Haven't gone out today at all, but I heard from my friend that flooding was bad.

Lots of rain

The Northern edge of the center of circulation is over us now. Brightened up pretty good. I had to pump out 2 inches of water from the pool to keep it from overflowing last night and it's full again now. So far the rain gauge shows 4". No flooding problems, but there are trees and debris down on the roads.

Wow things are pretty serious here... I took a walk outside just a few minutes ago. The neighbors were moving cars from the parking lot up onto the grass. There's a Civic Del Sol parked right outside my bedroom. I moved mine too since the parking lot was already 2" submerged over by my apartment.

The other side of the complex is one huge lake. Another person has a Yaris like mine and the water was halfway up the rear wheels. People are in boats chasing the fish around... yeah.

Check out the stuff on www.floridatoday.com

Harris is closed tomorrow too.

I just made it home from work (for now). It's REALLY flooded out there. Don't drive unless it's an emergency. All of the water is flowing west toward I-95. All of the western neighborhoods in Brevard are either already flooded or soon will be. The water was up to the bottom of the doors on the Ol' Dodge in some areas when driving home today. All of the sewerage pumping station and manhole systems are overflowing on beachside. They have issued a warning to stop using water over there to help take away some of the excess flow in the drains. If this damn storm doesn't move off of this county soon it may end up being a severe health problem. There is already raw sewage flowing all over the place in areas from the flooding.

It's times like this that being a public employee can really suck :(
