Wow that really sucks. I am sorry to see that. I hope insurance will cover your losses.......:(
That wasn't my place... my friend Nate's house. He's waiting to find out if he will get any aid money since he had no flood insurance. Already spent a couple grand out of pocket.

Just so it is between Mazer and me. The friction over Mazer's will surely (Shirley?) weaken the storm and enable me to live.:D

I thought the storm was further north than depicted.

I have my fingers crossed for all on the Gulf Coast.

I find it amazing that we are getting wind, and rain from Hurricane Gustav. Today was overcast all day, and some heavy rain. And just now a pretty decent downpour. :(

I don't think Florida has to worry to much about this storm (but you never know). I think the people of New Orleans, and inland Louisiana, over to Texas (Houston) should be watching closely and preparing. I would also be filling your cars now before gas goes up again. These oil rigs, and refineries are in the path of this monster.

The storm cannot hold onto that much force for long. I just hope some shear chokes it before hitting land. Even if it slides west the on-shore flow and storm surge will hammer MS and NO.

Closer to home, Major's map looks less promising for us with regards to Hanna.

The link I posted is the actual NOAA NHC tracking map. It updates about every 3 hours. Hanna is only predicted to be a tropical storm for now. Granted, we've had enough rain already.

But this is nothing compared to Gustav!

If there is any Audioholics member that is in the coastal path of that storm
EVACUATE NOW! DO NOT MESS WITH THIS STORM.

I'm sure MUDSHARK will get a kick out of this. I found the link that will allow you to get live GPS position and streamin data on the Hurricane Hunter planes while in flight. You'll need to have Google Earth loaded. Up to he minute aircraft location, dropsonde reports and flight data. Add to that the satellite and radar images for a total picture of the storms. Who needs weather men with this much info?

http://tropicalatlantic.com/recon/
Click on, "Live Recon Data in Google Earth" in the middle of the page.
Then just run the file.

You may also want to read the tutorial file:
