PS: If you happen to ride by New York may I suggest you take a few hours to ride Rt.3 across the Adirondack mountains (my stamping ground). Lake George gets kinda crowded with Americade but the great mountain roads seem to be pretty bike-less (maybe I should have kept my mouth shut?:) )
Know the area well, you just let the cat out of the bag!

You don't have to ride a motorcycle to know how an internal combustion engines works.

500 per head job x2 equals a grand. How much did the bike cost? 15000ish? Thats alot considering the price the vehicle cost. Though, over 15years isn't bad.

Getting a little defensive? Troll post? No, I was agreeing with what Zumbo said. BTW, why did you attack me, when what he said was clearly more offensive? Think at 18year old would be easier? As a matter of fact, my post was the least offensive of all the people talking about H-D.

i was not attacking you but i was questioning your agreement & the reasoning behind posting,it never crossed my mind you were 18 but that has nothing to do with what i wrote,i wish i was still 18,really i do:)

there is so much myth & urban legend behind the hd vs the world debate most of which is total bs on both side's,bolt's do not just randomly fall off harley's nor do they just break down out of nowhere & leave you stranded, also forigein bike's are not junk either,it's all a matter of taste & appeal.

my question's to you were based on your agreement that was quoted in your post, how can you agree that harley's just drop off nut's & bolt's out of nowhere or that they are not relaible with no direct knowledge of how harley's perform, urban legend? myth? hearsay or direct experience.

you asked if i was a little defensive,im not defensive but i am left wondering what would compel people to write personal opinion's in a thread of this type or question another guy's choice's.

there is a lot to be said for trying thing's for your own self then deciding as oposed to going by what other people say or by a data sheet, some thing's need to be tried first hand to see, hear & feel the difference's,ive read that you play guitar, try explaining the difference between a kramer & a strat to a non player, also try & explain how you feel & hear difference's even though on paper both guitar's should do the same job.

Well, ALL ICE's (internal yada yada yada) vibrate. The key is trying to get the vibrations to a minimum. I know people with Honda goldwings and Harley fatboys, and the fatboy was not doing so well.

I have heard about them breaking down so much, I just assumed it was true. And the heavy vibrations doesn't help.

I'm not the only posting Opinions on this site. As a matter of fact, every post contains the opinion of the poster. So you are guilty too ;)

I got so sick of explaining guitar, I just say its a mystery :D

My interests include the following:

FORMULA 1
I absolutely love this sport. Fastest cars with the most technology. Technical wizard's delight. I am going to the US Grand Prix for the second time. No contrived show or outcomes here!

Track/Summer car
I am building up a Nissan 240sx for occasional track use. I went to the track once last year with my friend's car. Now I have bought my own! Once you are on the track you have to go back!

Car Audio
This is a diminishing hobby. It takes away from the Home Audio so I am not into it as much any more.

Investing
I am really digging this lately. Finding good buys to make some cash for the long term.

I will be selling out my dvds collection very soon, probably I will let go 100 of them. I also upgrade my PCs pretty often, adding the RAMs, network cards, TV tuners, video cards. So far, I have 3 pcs running at the same time at home and 2 in the office. I remotely control all five of 'em, talking 'bout control freak, huh!

I use this to control my PC remotely for free: www.logmein.com

where did all the money go

Hello every one ,

Great thread,I would have to say the same as alot of people sometimes the money is spread out .As for the a/v
system 50 inch plasma (vizio) bought from costco, processor sunfire theater grand 2, amp adcom gfa 7700,dvd -sony (needs upgrading), speakers mains are a kit from pe br-1s ( will be replaced by the gr research A/V 3 ( in the process of building right now) center is klipsch will be replaced by the gr research speaker (haven't started yet),sub wharfdale (being replaced by the gr research sub/passive radiator ( building right now drivers just arrive ,and surrounds are in-wall jbl.But were all the money goes is into the new rv we bought ,the boat and my favorite (besides driving my wife crazy with the loud movies) is fishing .This is my weakness gotta have the newest and greatest or in my case what you can't find in the states Japaneese fishing reels , line lures you name it .Between fishing poles ,reels , boat electronics ,tackle and you can never have to much tackle ,and all the cool clothing so you fit in I have about $6000.00 invested .That is my biggest vise until the HT came into play .Don't get me wrong I still enjoy my fishing ,but nowstarting to build my own speakers and all ,I now have a new compund miter sas, jigs saw , router clamps and other assorted items .Now I have to split time between the two . But you know ,I wouldn't do it any other way just need to get some ear plugs for the wife .Great forum here at audioholics .And that is my input .

When I was younger, single, etc... I use to follow F1 and the Championship for Makes (big block Ferrari's, Porsches, and Fords). Been away for a while concentrating on other things (turned off by Schumacher never loosing, kids etc...). Imagine my surprise when someone other than Michael Schumacher won the F1 title. I'm getting back into more and more. I've been working on building two slot car tracks, both CNC routed from foamed PE sheets, both three lanes, one will handle both 1/32 and 1/24 cars, the other is 1/64 (HO). Have you seen the 1/32 cars available from FLY, Ninco, Slot.it, and Scaley? Nice looking. I have about 2 dozen 1/24 and 1/32 scale plactic models of late 60's-80's racers (Ferrari 512, 250LM, 330P4, Porsche 917LH & K, 908, 962, 917/10, 917/30, Chapparal 2F, Lola T70, Ford MkIV & GT40s, several F1 cars, etc..) that I plan on turning into slot cars.
