Seriously, I have no life.
I suspect this is made up.

>>>Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey in a Jan. 9 interview with FOX said that Ross, "walked away with a hip injury that he might as well have gotten from closing a refrigerator door with his hips. Give me a break. No, he was not ran over. He walked out of there with a hop in his step."<<<
His fault. he could have stepped away further.

While comparing ICE with the Gestapo may be a bit hyperbolic, they certainly are mimicking the secret police tactics of various nasty regimes.

Key areas where ICE practices raise constitutional concerns:

  • Fourth Amendment Violations: Courts have ruled that ICE agents violate this amendment by forcibly entering homes without a valid judicial warrant or consent, as administrative warrants (issued by ICE) do not hold the same authority as warrants from a judge.
  • Wrongful Detentions: ICE has detained U.S. citizens and legal residents, with some reports citing over 170 citizens detained in immigration sweeps. Federal courts have ruled that detaining people based solely on flawed,, automated database checks violates Fourth Amendment rights.
  • Due Process Concerns: The Fifth and 14th Amendments guarantee due process to both citizens and non-citizens. Concerns are frequently raised regarding the lack of timely hearings for detainees and the use of "expedited removal" processes.
Some comments on statements made in this thread:

While it can lead to deportation, it is not a crime to be in the US without authorization, it is a civil offense.

There were complaints made about illegal immigrants getting benefits. Well, the US treasury is making a profit off of them.

It has been suggested that this is a left vs right debate. As far as I'm concerned, it's more of a debate on the rule of law and basic human decency.

Why not just "shut the border"? How would that work? Forty to fifty percent of people in the US illegally, actually arrived legally. They just stayed past the point they were required to leave.

Want them ALL out? What would be the consequences to the US economy if that actually happened?

Hey, it's not my country, so do what you want. But, it's disheartening to watch Trump and his minions attempting to create a dystopia next door.

It is certainly not a Cristian behavior. How quickly they abandon their bible.
