For now, I would have to say Denon, as I have not had any experience with others. Would really like to win this so I can get the chance to explore more avrs.

Pioneer, mainly cause I've only had two receivers and they have worked well. I'll admit little disappointed with my current sc97 though.

My personal choice is Onkyo. The best overall experience I have had with receivers.

Yamaha

They seem to be a bit more expensive, but also more consistent in quality.

Marantz.
Seems fancier than Denon, even if it isn't.... They are market leaders and have reliable implementation of newest technologies. They also support a lot of updates on recent hardware. For example, the upgrade to the Audyssey MultEQ editor App for smartphones was why I picked Denon/Marantz over other options for my last receiver.

Yamaha because of nostalgia. The RX-V795 was the first receiver I ever purchased. I'm happy to use any decent products however, regardless of manufacturer.

Denon has worked for me, a good mix of features and price. And never had issues. But I would be thrilled to jump to a Marantz, and as I understand it they share a parent company. Also, my current Denon 3310ci workhorse is closing in on 10 years...

Pioneer ... My first receiver was a Pioneer with Dolby Pro Logic. After that, I replaced it with a Pioneer Elite with Dolby Digital and DTS.

I really like the Marantz Receivers the most, but my budget allows for Denon. But over the years my Denon equipment has never failed.

Hello,

My Receiver of choice is Marantz.

I am recently getting into high end audio, however, I am on somewhat of a budget constraint as this interest is not only for music, but movies as well. I have begun building a dedicated home theater. I have done a lot of online research regarding what would work best for music, but also movie dynamics on a budget. I came to the conclusion that the older Klipsch would perform well.

I was able to get 7.2 system based around the RF-63 used for an amazing price (entire set cost as much as some of the 2 channel speakers I was looking at). I also got a hold of a brand new in box Sherbourn 7/2100 for what I thought was a steal of a price off Canuckaudiomart. Currently I have an underpowered old Harmon Kardon receiver powering the Klipsch (no pre-outs) and they sound decent, but I know they can sound much better with some real power.

From reading online and also looking through the Klipsch Forum, Marantz has a sweet warm sound which would work very well with the speakers I have. This being said, of all Klipsch Speakers the RF-63 are considered to have a sweet sound without the shrill that Klipsch is known for. However, I would like to warm them up even more.

I reached out to Youthman who was active on the Klipsch forums as well as running his own youtube channel and to my surprise he got back to me quite quickly with some recommendations/suggestions. He personally tested various brands for his setup and chose the SR8012.

Being a Klipsch fan himself and his recommendation I feel compelled to go the Marantz route. There is also some bias on my end, when I was a little younger and would tour around Bestbuy with my friends, the Marantz always looked so sweet (albeit the most expensive).

Lastly it was also important to have Audyssey MultEQ XT32, Dynamic Volume and Dynamic EQ, LFC and Sub EQ HT in order to help with my room; I have a square fully sealed ~1700sqft3 room.

In summary, I have chosen Marantz due to research via forums online, recommendations from an online youtube reviewer, the fact that the SR6013 and higher have room correction software, and my own personal bias after looking up to the Marantz name for years.
