I'm currently using a Pioneer. Love the class d amps. Runs a lot cooler which is necessary for my current setup.

Onkyo. Had an Onkyo receiver for 10 years and never had an issue with it. Just upgraded to the RZ720 and loving all the new features.

For receivers I've had marantz, onkyo and denon. All are good. Mararantz was my favorite. My current system has no hdmi inputs and I'm in need of upgrade. I'll probably go with Marantz again.

I would have to say Merantz but that's just my on paper opinion, I don't have any hands on experience with it. I have use Onkyo for years but haven't been happy with the quality. However, they honored the warranty without question when I had an issue. But now my display on the tx-nr717 is bad so it's a bit more annoying to use.

I've always used Onkyo. Mostly because it's what I could get my hands on. I have always wanted a nicer Sony. Like their 3100 ES or the 5000 ES. However could never get one for cheap. I've heard great things about marantz. Really good sound for "cheap".

Denon for the combination of sound quality, features and price.

Onkyo has been my choice for nearly 20 years. Great sound, features, and long lasting build quality are the reasons.

Denon, I switched from Yamaha. Sound quality was equally as good but much preferred the UI and lack of modes I never used in the Denon.

Marantz and denon it's a tough one but these two are at the top because the overall design is beautiful and I have been using the brand for years now.

I've always been a fan of Pioneer. Less so after Onkyo took over. But their elite models back in the 90s were far superior to other brands, IMO. I've tried Denon and Yamaha over the years, but didn't find the audio to be as crisp and clean as Pioneer. Especially when you compare Denon to Pioneer, it was not close. (The gap may have lessened since last I tried a non-Pioneer amp.)

Marantz because I have been using them since I bought my first "Real" system back in the mid-80s.

I have had an Onkyo 7.1 receiver for 10 years and love it for it's features, value and reliability. Once the Onkyo dies or I upgrade to Atmos I will look at Marantz or Denon since Onkyo dropped Audyssey.

I’ve had Pioneer,Sony, Onkyo and Yamaha receivers. I was never in love with Sony receivers but now I’ve come to appreciate their more recent offerings. I have the STR-DN1080 currently. It has a clean ,easy to use OSD and excellent sound for a somewhat budget model. Overall pretty happy with it. So my choice probably won’t be popular with others, but I pick Sony.
