Yeah, breaking up the protest won't make the issue go away. But, the gradual easing of restrictions will, hopefully, take some heat out of the situation.I didn't start following this until the truckers were actually in Ottawa. The fringe started it and inflamed it, still it seems enough of the truckers strongly believe in their acts to go through this. All the interested parties have to deal with the situation in front of them now and its long term repercussions.

The declaration of emergency will expire - unless extended by parliament - in 30 days. Then, within 60 days of its expiration, a public inquiry must commence and a report presented to parliament within another 360 days.
I think the lack of cooperation from towing companies was more out of fear, than solidarity.
