Well, it's a bit more complicated than that but yeah it was RWD. They actually make a conversion kit now for the EVO.
Well, someone watched the Tokyo drift videos on Edmunds.com

I saw the dvd the other night, Im not sure which was worse about it. The motor they stuck into the mustang, or the NISSAN emblem they stuck to the back of it. Its just WRONG to see a nice mustang like that, only to hear it going Baddbdaba daaaaaaaaa Weeeeeeeeee!!!!

Did anyone else notice the tabasco bottle flying in the air (slow mo of couse) when the hick was rolling in his first car. Talk about product placement.

Yeah I saw that. Although the mustang would have been better with a domestic V8, a skyline motor is no slouch.

kind of related

i work at a ford dealership in ohio

wednesday i got to take a ride in a gt-40.

the tech that was driving really stomped it.

a truly wild "pin your shoulders to the seat" ride

ruined a perfectly good pair of underwear

A GT 40 or Ford GT?

Big difference.

They remove the fuel cutoff(speed limiter) but other than a few electronic upgrades for the extra lights/radios and a beefier suspension they are stock....and slow.
Yes, it still had the owner manual from Ford explaining the differences. I just thought that the Police[CHP] will modify a few things on their own. Then again you can't outrun the helicopter, so they don't have to be that fast.

86's are pretty weak, and very slow, and not that cool. very ugly. only reason they are so popular is cause they are cheap and easy to drift. and of course.. initial d.

no one that is any good at drifting, or has any money buys an 86 anymore.

You mean your patrol car? I bought a 2000 Crown Vic. ex CHP, it is one slow car.[granted the chip was probably reprogrammed to get it back to "normal]Maybe you guys should follow the film's Tokyo cop's rule.Someome goes over say 140mph you don't even try to chase 'em. :D

i think it was more like 120.. or maybe even less.

??? I think you are confused. These cars have an extremely low curb weight and very solid motors that only take a little tweaking to make some very good numbers. They have a solid chassis and a good f/r weight balance that makes them very good for any kind of driving. Yes, they can be found cheap, which makes them great for building a cheap track car, but nice ones can still pull down quite a bit of cash. The fact that they are popular means there is still good aftermarket support for them too. There's a REASON why cars like this are STILL poplular....Datsun 510, BMW 2002, S13 240SX, 1.8L Miatas....

Slow? Weak? So you've driven one right? A bone stock GTS had me pinned in the seat going through 3 gears.

Dude, you need to get a clue before posting stuff like that.

BTW, theres a video on youtube of 2 GTS's beating an R34 Skyline on a track. Yep, pretty weak.

I'll bring the Ford Super Duty (turbo diesel) :D
Where's a Dodge Cumings owner at, show this Super duty who's boss.;) Actually I like the older 7.3L TD that Ford had but they've had too many problems with the 6.0 for me to spend 40k on a truck. Now if it was a perfect world I'd want a truck with a chevy interior, dodge drivetrain and the looks of a ford SD.
