@PENG , you got any tips for a fellow Canadian looking to get a system without breaking the bank?
I didn't see a specific number, but I think he is looking at around $1500 for AVR and speakers.

Mirage, that is a tight budget if it includes a subwoofer. The X3500 will probably get close to half unles you've found a good deal on it.

For a tight budget, I would agree the AVR-X3500H is a good choice.

So, I decided I couldn't wait for BlackFriday or Boxing Day, and decided on the AVR-X3600H from Denon. I should be getting it through amazon today.

It blew apart my budget, but since I'm in it for the long run, and the budget was only 50% over and not like 1000%, I'm going to sleep okay.
