Hi,

Would like to get your thoughts on this surround sound package below.

Is it very entry level?
Very average?

I'd be using a mid priced Yamaha avr.

Thankyou

No idea, but it has a very nasty look about it, and probably best avoided. It seems very expensive for what it is.

You would be much better off buying two decent front speakers and may be a sub, and then adding a center as funds permit, and then the rears.

90% of the "loaf" at least is the front three and then the sub. So it is much better to assemble this in stages rather then buy a ton of junk at once.

Seems expensive for what your getting, Then you have to add the cost of amplification.

@no1e_goat You might want to check here for those Polk Speaker Prices. Home Speakers for Every Space | Stereo, Surround, & Wireless Options. I think it is okay for a room that is 10 X 15 or so. Polk makes good speakers, and the ES series is not so bad, IMO.

The package you have shown from that Merchant, seems like the most I would pay, would be $300 per speaker or $1500.00 Total including shipping. They do list the Polk Speaker Models in the package. Good luck

FWIW the package is in AUD, which a quick conversion shows to be USD 1689 and Australia tends to be a bit more expensive than US on audio gear to boot.

The speakers may work well enough in a small room IMO but would more approach it like TLS mentioned, start with a better pair/trio of the front speakers and would want a better sub (generally a larger driver than 8").
