Hi,
I am in the process of upgrading my HT and I really need some advice setting up. I have Canton speakers and sub ordered - Ergo 902 DC fronts, 302 DC's for the rears, a 502 CM for the center and the PC-Ultra from www.svsubwoofers.com

I have a Denon AVR-4800 THX Ultra Surround EX A/V Receiver (125 watts per channel X 5 channels) and a Denon POA-1500 (2 channel power amp) 150 watts per channel and Denon’s 2910 DVD player.

I would like to set up the 6.1/7.1 surround feature with Axiom's QS8 quadpoles www.axiomaudio.com/qs8.html#

1) Should I hook-up the 902 DC's to the power amp and everything else to the AVR-4800?

2) Would I be nuts to sell the receiver and the amp and replace them with the AVR-3805?

2) Will there be a timbre conflict playing (DVD-A's & SACD's) using the Axiom quad surrounds with the Canton Ergos?
Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated.

The HT is in a 15 x 25 x 7 basement room. Carpeted concrete floor, knotted pine walls and 2 x 4 tiled suspended ceiling with 2 leather sofas and a leather recliner. Will I have an acoustical problem?

Thank you,
Skip

DO NOT sell that reciever. You would be downgrading if you did decide to do that. I would say that you should do option number one from your list. Hook up your main channels to the Denon amp and the rest of your speakers to your reciever.
