Good evening all. Please help this 61 year old Rookie Budding Audiophile. I ordered the above subwoofer to replace my Klipsch R-SW12 subwoofer. I’m new to the game (December 2023). The 12S has a few extra knobs that my Klipsch does not. I’d like to get off to a good start, so please advise. Here’s my starting plan. Reference Mode. Volume 50%. High Pass ; BYPASS. Low Pass; 80Hz. Phase; 0. Power; Auto. I run an Onkyo NR7100 with Dirac Live, Polk R700’s, Klipsch RP504C-II Center Channel. Of course I’ll read the accompanying pdf but I’d like you guys to post some valuable input to my benefit if at all possible. BTW 80% of the time I’ll be watching movies. The other 20% of the time is spent listening to Van Halen, The Eagles, The Allman Brothers, CCR, U2, The Rolling Stones, and of course, Metallica! Thank you in advance!

Your starting plane is perfectly fine. Just use those settings and let Dirac do the rest. It should end up sounding really good.

It will be interesting to hear what @Isosevodes thinks of the Sub after he's had it setup and operational for a week or two.
