Thanks Alex. So, each time I toe-in the speakers even a little bit, it is best to re-run Audyssey? SVS recommends a 5-10 degree toe-in. Start at about 5, then gradually work my way to 10? That a good plan? I move the Ultras and NOT the stands right? Just want to do this right. Appreciate the help.

Re run every time.

Doesn't matter, move whatever is more aesthetically pleasing.

Me too. I find TV shows are mastered to different volumes and I need to turn the volume up or down. Similarly, I find some TV/Movies/Music are mastered with different bass volumes and I need to turn the bass up or down. Or sometimes the Mrs has a headache and I need to turn down the bass.

For whatever reason, if Audyssey has already set your bass at -11dB, you have virtually no ability to turn it down further.

I like bass, and in fact turn it up more often than I turn it down. But why would you not want that capability if available? It is a choice between having the ability to turn your bass up 20dB, or turn it up/down 10dB. So far, I have never wished I could turn up the bass 20dB. But that's just me.

LOL good point I suppose but I've never had reason to turn it down below where Audyssey sets it let alone much reason to lower it from where I set it (usually 2-4 dB above Audyssey (but also I only have myself to answer to). Although some CBS shows are a bit bass heavy, nothing that can't be addressed by leaving DEQ off or going back to where Audyssey initially set subs.

If you're talking about isolating your speakers from the stands have you tried putting some blue tac (other tacs are available) in the corners underneath the speakers (just a small bit will do) and that can stop a fair bit of vibration passing from the speakers to the stand. For the sake $2 it's worth trying!

3Musketeers is full of nougat which can dampen vibrations. Especially if you can keep the temperature slightly elevated, it will make your sound "Fluffy, not stuffy".
