The bathmat is a mistake. Bath rugs are the way to go. Bed Bath and Beyond.
No, my account didn't get hacked by an interior decorator.
Rick is that you???

Good, now I need it at half price and ... well, do I really need an optical drive? That's like a CD, DVD or Blu-ray drive right? I want one for the purpose of making audio CD's mostly but it would be nice to be able to play a Blu-ray.Looks half decent to me.
For the record: I am only taking part in this part of the discussion in order to encourage the free tech support but what the hell are you doing sniffing around tinder? Dude, I'll give you Rick's number. You don't have to be taking it to the street like that. Also, tinder is a weird place.
What exactly are you doing on this thing? That will ultimately determine how much processing speed you need. Whatever you get make sure it comes with Windows 10. If it has USB 3 then an external BD drive could make the whole thing more cost effective than having one come with an internal drive. I'm seeing one's for about half that price on Amazon that might work.Good, now I need it at half price and ... well, do I really need an optical drive? That's like a CD, DVD or Blu-ray drive right? Currently I use an HDMI out to a monitor and USB for:
I should probably talk to the guys up the road at the Pawn Shop. They've got a dozen laptops and I do get the nice guy discount.

LOL I've already got rick's private line. Doug gave it to me. Turns out most "people" on tinder are fake. The other half don't seem to like short fat Asians. EDIT: Also, did you get a bath rug yet? 20 buck. Best thing evah.
Free Asian tech support for the one time low price of however much money he felt like asking for because he knew I needed that center. Where's BSA, btw? I'm considering putting the monkey flag back up until I get past this time of techno-tribulation.Old time hockey! Sounds like the old days!!!![]()
I understand the Windows 10 requirement. An external BD drive is an excellent idea. I'm not really interested in a dvd drive and that's what's in the $400 Dell. No doubt, I don't need a lot of processing speed but what's happened twice so far is that I've kept my computers until their end of life support thing and by that time their ability to handle high def video becomes a little sluggish. Maybe its the source. But I use only really use the computer for FB, AH, checking bank balances and YouTube. I guess Google maps and burning CD's too. Amazon, sometimes ebay and emails. That's all code for 'I watch porn every waking moment that isn't spent posting in TBT' but by now nobody but Doug is still reading the post and he already knows. What exactly are you doing on this thing? Spring is the time for love.Doug gave it to me.![]()
They never listen.No bath rug.
Well here's my thought. If you're going to have a laptop and an external BD drive, would you also be willing to have an external harddrive? I'm thinking an Asus laptop with an SSD would make the laptop blazing fast. Nvidia graphics card, I've had good luck with those and they are pretty reliable.I understand the Windows 10 requirement. That first one is enough. Given that it has a dvd burner, I can play BRs on something else. My thought is that if you're going to have an optical drive, make it BR or nothing at all but money talks, right? I checked and the 10" depth is the same on my current laptop. That's about all this desk's sliding drawer will accommodate. The price is about right and the 256 GB SSD is actually a little more than I have now.Well here's my thought. The girl has to get some secret Amazon code and it's game on. Where TF is BSA?
Very well then, I kind of wanted to stick with Asus but the graphics card and the backlit keyboard are persuasive. Thanks for chiming in. Does it matter that the Asus has a slightly faster processor? 2.5 GHz vs 2.3 GHz? I use my current laptop as a desktop replacement with a backlit USB keyboard and Samsung monitor so the backlit keyboard is not really a big deal but I understand its value should I need to take the laptop on the road.Agree on SSD drive - it just makes windows work so much smoother and experience in much better overall.
my rec is this one:

It has decent processor, 1080p display, onboard dvd-burner and an entry level dedicated video card. You could Play metal gear solid v at 720p resolution with medium details.

Other goodies include backlit keyboard to see which video category you're choosing and need to type specific performer name or act in the search bar while in dark room...

I also saw the Acer has room for another 8 GB of RAM. That might be cool for later on. Okay, we have a winner. Thanks again.
ftfySo it turns out the dating scene for 20 somethings is a sh*t show. Good thing I have a sheep.
