Something is bl¤#¤ wrong with it, I expect some of the capacitors in the power supply has really had it ... it's suddenly absolutely anemic, no bass and sounds like all artists playing had a big zip of helium before they're singing...

It has to go for repair ... Fixing Krell's around here aint the cheapest thing to do ...

A bit disappointing, while I was checking Amazon, if I could order a 6 pack and have it sent to a US address and... none of that...

Stril is a term only used on the west coast of Norway and it was used to characterize those who were living outside the city of Bergen, but still close enough to row to the city within a day... The boats being used on the west coast of Norway for this are direct descendants from the "dinghy's" that the Vikings used more than 1000 years ago.

People don't row to the city anymore and haven't done that for ages but the term is still alive and has the same relevance...

So are you using the speaker drivers as ballast? I've got a pair of 10" SEAS subwoofers that have 20lb magnets!

it's a good thought, but unfortunately ballast is disallowed by class-regulations ...

Yes, but its the 4 layer VC model designed for Linkwitz. I quite literally excised the bass section from the Orion speaker and slapped a 2ch plate amp on it. Recently relocated it to a corner and am quite happy with how 'musical' the bass is. I put the W frame and side panels together from scraps, soon I will take it apart and tighten up some of the clearances and re-measure/tweak dsp.

What happened to diagnosing the PCB and fixing the root cause?

I think those days are pretty much gone. Even the manufacturer will put them on a test fixture for automated test & diagnosis. Not like the good ol days when we had a row of work benches w/ scopes, signal generators, schematics and soldering irons. Of course, we didn't sell stuff by the millions then either.

All you really need is to hook em up to an amp, and feed the amp with the sub output(s) of an AVR.
