Really Boring Stuff Only III: Resurrection

I'm installing a Delta faucet in my kitchen. It's my first ever Delta install, and so far, they can suck it. Moen wasn't this difficult. The engineers at Delta clearly never considered someone trying to install this by themselves, or perhaps just laughed at the idea.

Seriously, Delta. Eff off. Pretty much all they had to do was use water hoses on the faucet that aren't like rebar and this would go pretty smoothly. I think their engineers were overcompensating for something...

Hmm, I have a Moen in my kitchen and it was easy enough to install, but I don't care for the spray hose. When you run hot water through it, it's fine. But, with cold water, it's as stiff as 10awg. Makes it a pain to push down the hole.

OK Mr. Out-of-context, let's see what you can do with that....:D

No need. You did all the work. That's why I like you. :D

Somebody surely can do something with that...

Btw, Moen's have been a lot easier to install for me than this Delta - just because of those darn water lines. I can install a Moen in about 30 minutes, but it probably took me at least an hour just to get the base of this Delta in place.

Went and saw a place today. It's a little older and less updated than some of the other places in terms of appliances, but outside of the appliances it was excellent. A little smaller than our first choice, but still big enough and a good layout. The neighborhood and location are probably the best out of all the places we looked at. The only real downside, and it's only a downside for me, is that there's no garage. The washer/dryer room is pretty decently sized, so I could still use that as a workshop though.

Overall good times. Probably should have also mentioned that we put a holding deposit on it, and pending credit and background checks it's ours. The rental agency guy said he's extremely confident we'll be approved so we're planning on a June 29th or 30th move in date.

I have Deltas for the bathroom - sink and tub/shower. They work fine and weren't difficult to install. Of course, that means nothing when we're talking about kitchen taps, er...faucets.

You can loop the delta lines or trim them and use the included Delrin sleeves- easy peasy.
Cheers, Mac
Thanks, Mac. It's not that they were too long, just too stiff. Yeah, that won't get misquoted. :D

The main issue was the design of the under-sink securing bracket combined with those hoses. It was just a huge pain to get the securing nut screwed on.

Yeah, that would get misquoted for sure.
You're making it way too easy

Speaking of things that are long and hard, this never ending school year still have 3 weeks left. Curse you 12 snow days adding a full week of school on to the end of the year.

@Adam did you ever back that kick starter? Just saw it ended with an estimated ship date of July. That would be a pretty quick turnaround. Then again he already has production, he's just looking to make it faster.

No. I actually put it off and then kind of forgot about it until I saw that it ended. I must not have really wanted one. :) I sure do think that they look cool, though!
