It looks great! One thing you might want to think about doing for an upgrade is a projector Hush Box. It's basically a box you build around your PJ that has its own air intake/output through the ceiling. It's great for reducing PJ noise.

No subwoofer? I would think in a room that big you would need some help, regardless of your main speakers capabilities.

Looks nice! I envy you sire.

Each tower has a 12" powered sub built in them.

Me: "Regardless of your mains capabilities"

I know they use subwoofers, but until I see a chart or graph, I still think they could use a subwoofer. I read a review that said their bass output was not in line with their bass claims.

Sheep,

I truly feel that most people would find 500w RMS 12in subs in each tower sufficient.

As for myself I plan on adding a CLR2300.

Sheep, currently bass is fine for me. I am planning on getting a dedicated sub in the furture (only so much I can spend at once - building the room took a chunk of the available resources). I pre-wired 4 potential locations. There are jacks at each of the mains, plus a jack on the right wall about 6 feet out, and another jack back on the riser on the left side. I have also run wire for bass shakers for the chairs into the riser.

As for the hush box. I am waiting till I get a new projector. I will build a complete noise and air tight box for the new projector once I get it. I built in a completely isolated air supply and return. There is a duct just above the projector that runs to the wetbar area (oustside the theater) with flexible vent hose that will go against the air intake of the new projector. There is then a powered exhaust (triggered by the receiver turning on) to pull the hot air out. This way I can completely isoloate the projector resulting in ZERO ambient zoise from the projector.

The room itself is very quiet with next to nil for sound penetration. Although not a room within a room (ideal). None of the walls are actually mounted to the studs. I used PAC Inc RSIC-1 clips and resilant channeling in the whole room. Plus the back wall is a staggered stud wall.

Thanks everyone - could not have done it without everyone here!

there are a few things that I would like to say, the first being, please buy a proper A/V rack (They aren't that expensive) and clean up your wires, move em under the base boards ect. And why is the carpet on the wall? Do you have a TV?

rocky,
he said this was an "audio" only setup. check the title of his post.

Im presuming he wants the carpet to absorb some of the sound. unless it is purely aesthetics. who says he can't walk on walls too.

nope. still not neo.

an audio rack is on my to-do list of purchases, and the wires are messy i should proly hide them. but because the lights are usualy off when im listening i dont worry too much about the cosmetic stuff :p

the rugs on the wall helped to eliminate some awful reflections

and try as i might i cant walk on walls. sorry to disapoint. :(

Oh, sorry about that, I didnt see the title. Maybe you should add a little TV so you can watch movies and concert DVD's as well.

Well, replaced my old Sony with an Epson 550. Got it mounted last week and watched a couple of movies on it over the weekend. HUGE improvement over my 10 year old projector. Now once I get back from business travel I need to build that hush box
