Laugh tracks are not for me. I know when to laugh and it's not during Modern Family either.

YouTube pissed me off already this morning. I probably watched like maybe 2 but certainly no more than 87 videos of female pole vaulters, long jumpers, lingerie football etc and now ALL the recommended videos look like the covers for kulo porn. My girl won't notice that as she peaks in on me in here, from time to time. *sarcasm*

Even effin' utube is a rat. I'm gonna have to go watch my favorite sports on the public library's computers now.

Dude...I'm trying to do payroll and can't because I'm laughing too much! Yeah, gotta love those "recommendations" websites have now based on your viewing habits. I look at some of that and really wonder about people because I know what I watched so how on earth can you recommend that?!?!?!?

BTW, you never mentioned women's beach volleyball. I would think you would be watching it to see how they handle orthopaedic injuries and what type of joint support/braces they use. Purely research of course...

I didn't mention beach volleyball because I possibly might have watched that more than 87 times.

I went into their menu stuff and tried for the don't track me options. I might do a few 'build a table saw fence' searches to throw them off my trail. I bet there's even some ahole out there posting WWJD videos. I love the J-man, just not people who claim to know what he would do. So rounding it back to hate ... I hate those people. A close second to that group who claim to know what he would do is the group who think they know what he did do. I hate them too.

I hate living in a small town. Nobody educated them on the rules of the fast lane. They pair up together on a 2 lane highway and drive less than the speed limit and won't let anyone pass. Cruise control is something they will never try to understand and some times I'll pass the same car 3 times in a few miles. They also couldn't handle a 4 way stop sign if their lives depended on it! I miss the city some times, can ya tell?
I hate left lane drivers too. Sitting in the passing lane...2mph UNDER the posted speed. And as you said people who can’t use cruise control. It’s not applicable everywhere, but on a 4 lane hwy when you KNOW your not stopping for 200 miles, just set it!!!!!
Oh yeah, 4 way stops. WHY is it that when a person stops, like 10 seconds before anyone else, they have to sit and wave everybody else to go first? Tie goes to the guy at the right. So why do they have to make it a clusterfukk?
Ok. Back on the road...

Ok, rant time for me. Got a letter from the school in email yesterday afternoon. Seems an elementary school teacher at my kids school had been arrested and charged that day with felony sexual assault of a child under 13. The assault took place at the school the teacher worked previously. Obviously, the school suspended the teacher immediately and sent out the letter once the charges were formally filed. But WTF?!?!?! This has the parents totally on edge right now and a lot of uncomfortable conversations with our kids. Totally ruined my night and I'm still all tore up about it. Fortunately, my offspring did not have this teacher but were still interacted with the perv.

I had hoped there would not be more victims, but it looks like there are as they are interviewing every child at the teachers former school. Add in the years at our school and there is likely to be more. He may have been grooming one of my friend's daughters as well so I'm waiting to hear from my friend and to give him support as needed.

Totally Effed up situation and day. Ugh!!! I can understand lynch mob mentality when sh!t like this goes down. Doing that to kids...

Midwesthonky, that is totally messed up!!, Not the Children!! I’m sure it will be hard on you and the other families affected by this especially the children. As a father myself I went through this very same thing with my youngest Son, he was molested by my mother-in-law second husband. Thankfully he put a gun to his head and pull the trigger they found him dead in his home. My Son 32 now he and I have had many talks about him being a Survivor of sexual abuse as a child. To this day it still affects him that’s something no one ever gets over that stays with the person the rest of their life. Many blessing to you Sir and to your family. If you need to talk about this please feel free to inbox me, I will be more than happy to listen and share with you it helps to talk about it really does. PS. I’m almost sure a lot of the other old timers in here will be more than willing to offer help in anyway they can. I have come know most of these guys as you probably know some too, bunch of great guys in my book. :)

^ xD Awesome.
My dad is as fiery as I am about these guys. He had flood insurance, basement flooded. They told him that the way the flood happened wasn't covered under the flood insurance. LMFAO.

"Here we have for you, an intangible product that we lobbied as law, so you have no choice. We are about the only industry allowed to discriminate age, gender etc, and the statistics we use are flawed but don't worry about that. You will shut up, and pay us every month in case something happens. Should something happen, we will work as hard as possible to find a loophole or a way to not pay up, leaving you on the hook for damages. We will pocket those premiums you've been paying for the last 6 years and you'll never see them again. Also, please note; please never make a claim. There will be a deductible, which sometimes costs as much as the damages, so you might as well pay for it yourself anyway; furthermore, don't dare make a claim as I mentioned. We will increase your premiums as much at 65% for the next 5 years if you do."

Regards,
Your friendly, local insurance agent.

Thanks Mike. Sorry your son had to go through that.

We have all read or seen stories about this on the news. It's a whole other level when it's a teacher you talked with and your kids interacted with. I and my kids are fortunate to not be victims. But there is still that factor of your kids innocence being lost as a trusted figure (teacher) proves to be a serious dbag. We are talking with the kids and are trying to use it as a learning opportunity in a positive way. Still sucks as it hits way to close to home.

I can't stand child predators. One of my brothers best friend admitted to him that he was molested by a family friend growing up. He was in his 30s when he finally talked about it. My brother wanted to go kick the guys ass but his friend wanted to let it go and try to forget about it.

I remember this guy too. The very worst part about it for me was this guy was a santa claus! He had the beard and every thing and used to enter competitions. Does it get much creepier than that?

Your very welcome Sir, thank you for the kind words my friend. To this day my Son and I may never know how many before he done that to. His grandmother had passed away before my Son told anyone for she was a very dear person. I was just the same mind set like you when my Son first told me, I stayed very bitter for a lotta years over it. As parents we all want the very best for our children. and when someone like this or some other tragedy happens we feel so helpless and powerless it can be very overwhelming, anger is one of the first emotions that can take hold of you. I did a Lot of praying and talking with others that had went through something like this. Very best wishes to you and your family Sir!

I hate it that I have to wait (8) long hours before my Chuck-Eye Roast is done via my slow cooker. But, lawd does it ever smell so darn good. It is driving me crazy and my stomach is growling.......LOL!!! For anyone interested, I always use the Mississippi Pot Roast recipe:

https://belleofthekitchen.com/2016/04/13/mississippi-pot-roast/

This is almost exactly how I do mine. However, I do brown my roast in the skillet with some virgin olive oil before adding the ingredients. It is important to note to make sure that the roast is as dry as you can get it after browning. Also have found that this recipe works (or shall I say tastes) better with pork roasts. But, the Chuck-Eye Roast is also very good and on sale!

Phil

Hey, I hear ya man. I still have 45-minutes before I can finally eat some........LOL!!!! If you lived closer, you would be more than welcome to come try it. The aroma is intoxicating to say the least. I use my slow cooker all of the time. BTW, that recipe I linked is so easy a 1st grader could do it. Really not much to it other than the 8-hour wait.:)

Cheers,

Phil

Bookmarked, I may have to try that one.
I forgot to mention that I also add an onion (chopped). Then, about 2-2.5 hrs. before it is done I add some potatoes and carrots. After 8-hours of cooking on low yields an amazing meal. Enough for several people at that. It even makes it own gravy. 25-more minutes......LOL!!!!:p

Cheers,

Phil
