lol my wife used to work for an insurance company. before that a bank! i used to give her hell for working for the 2 most evil corporations that exist. luckily she recently got fed up and found a job at a college. still controversial perhaps, but a step in the right direction!
^ xD Awesome.
My dad is as fiery as I am about these guys. He had flood insurance, basement flooded. They told him that the way the flood happened wasn't covered under the flood insurance. LMFAO.
"Here we have for you, an intangible product that we lobbied as law, so you have no choice. We are about the only industry allowed to discriminate age, gender etc, and the statistics we use are flawed but don't worry about that. You will shut up, and pay us every month in case something happens. Should something happen, we will work as hard as possible to find a loophole or a way to not pay up, leaving you on the hook for damages. We will pocket those premiums you've been paying for the last 6 years and you'll never see them again. Also, please note; please never make a claim. There will be a deductible, which sometimes costs as much as the damages, so you might as well pay for it yourself anyway; furthermore, don't dare make a claim as I mentioned. We will increase your premiums as much at 65% for the next 5 years if you do."
