Now is the time to save for grandkids education.
Insanity out there.

Last I looked that was the 'parents' responsibility ;)

For the record, a good education comes in many forms........

One thing to remember, when president is traveling like that, his entourage is huge, gets ;)in the way of everything.
Why would he go, it is not in Florida across from his palace.
Sad but agree with that.

As a grandparent, since my two girls completed college, one with a BSN in nursing the other a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. My 6 year old grandson, I've been putting cash in an account for him when he makes high marks in class. That would be like "A's . The little guy is costing grandpa LOL. But its worth it.

Ditto here Chris, we have '529' accounts set up for ours as well. Since my oldest grandson is in high school there should be enough $$ to buy a book or two ;)

Don't forget birthdays and Christmas. Maybe it one of those 528? college fund that accumulates tax free.

it's a '529', we have them for each of our grandsons. You can even open up a credit card that instead of cash back , rewards go into designated 529 funds, Fidelity for example

Does close count? :D

need to see a doctor to have memory checked out or oiled.
Yes, we have them setup, birthday and christmas, 1, 3, 5. Plenty of time, hopefully, but uncertainty is high right now.

Yep, late start. ;)

I've got mine (his) in the Florida Prepaid. But he's got a long way to go as a 1st grader before he gets out of HS.
That is great so it can compound tax free, smart move.

Katrina-

80% of greater New Orleans was underwater.

Liked when asked by the press Bush said he had no idea the levees could break. A simple look at a Cat 3 levee in New Orleans and it doesn't take much to feel insecure. I believe instead of clay they were built with sand to save money.

Another one where Ted Koppel asks Brown (FEMA director) why he didn't know how bad it was in NO when all he had to do was turn on the news since they were reporting on the conditions. Bush would say Brown was doing a good job, but he resigned his post shortly after.
