As a grandparent, since my two girls completed college, one with a BSN in nursing the other a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. My 6 year old grandson, I've been putting cash in an account for him when he makes high marks in class. That would be like "A's . The little guy is costing grandpa LOL. Ditto here Chris, we have '529' accounts set up for ours as well.
