what's regretful is that, the americans (citizens) want peace and security for their country. but in attacking Iraq, they (US leaders) have created an entire generation of hateful islamic militants (so-called terrorists) who would like to be given a chance to blow themselves up just to do damage to americans.

i owe you a chicklet btw, takereasy
I got some news for you, junior.... the US didn't have any freakin thing to do with making a "whole generation of hateful islamic militants".... in case you missed most of the last twenty-five years, Iraq, under So-dam In-sane has gone to war with anything that moved... Iraq (where they lost a whole freakin generation of hateful militants for about 50 square miles of dirt), most of their own people (who they killed in most cases because they were too bored that day), and Kuwait, who committed the unpardonable sin of having a higher per-capita ownership of Rolls Royces.... These guys have done nothing but be bullies for the past quarter of a century... if they got their asses spanked (twice), maybe the less-than-hardliners will think twice before they do something stupid... the others were all going to do something stupid ANYWAY....

it might help you to remember that the only US citizen the recognized Government of Irag has told to leave the country was Geraldo Rivera !!!

I I let it slide when people were talking in posts about how the US has to step in because no one else can save the poor backwards countries from themselves. Most of those "poor countries" have at least a thousand years more experience than us in N.A.
Let us first consider the French, who have won exactly ONE war in the past five hundred years. It was run by a mentally deranged teenage girl who they promply burned at the stake so they could surrender anyway....

So much for thousands of years of experience...

you are right. about me not being in the know the events of the past years. but I do know the events/feelings of the people today. so let me qualify what I said.

instead of
"an entire generation of hateful islamic militants"
how about
"a NEW generation of hateful islamic militants"

unfortunately your news is old. this is news today. how's that senior?

it's funny how none of the Islamics in the US, India, Pakistan, Turkey, and many other Islamic states seem to hate much of anybody. Or that Islam itself promotes only peace... so if we (the US) created anything, it was the opportunity for the none-hatefuls to have their own lives...

apparently you don't know how it is in India and Pakistan (how about we add Indonesia). I would not have made my comment if these Islamic militants were limited to people in Iraq.

while I do agree that these f%*ckers are wrongly quoting religion as their reason for doing these stupid things.

but you must realize that factions within Islam and Western culture have been at war since long before the Crusades... whether or not those were right are not my place to argue. a thousand years is a long time for both sides to carry the grudge, but it is nothing new... the Balkans have people who have hated each other three times that long... and they live right next to each other. there will always be militants, somewhere (IRA ring any bells ?).

only their targets of the moment will change.:(

leprkon, yup. everybody is fighting with somebody. it is human nature. but that is exactly the problem ... who's wrong and who's right? if the US had sided with S. Insane (just an example) ... it is the NON-hatefuls that would be mad at you. you lose either way.

When a person has a lot there will always be those that want a piece of the pie. Those that who are less fortunate who will turn their blame towards the haves and say "You are the reason I am poor." This is even more true with countries, and especially true in the Middle East where the US is almost a slave to the need for oil reserves, but the same governments that impoversh and torture their citizens, happily take US dollars and then point at America and say "They are the reason you are poor."

WMD? Yes, but not in the form of nuclear missles, but an entire nation being told that they are not responsible for their own faults, it is the fault of the USA and the solution is to hate Americans and attack them. To kill contractors walking the street, to kill people who are there for humanitarian purposes. Forget the soldiers, blow up your own people, then blame it on Americans.

And how would these poor, desperate people, with a government that doesn't care, but teaches hatred, be in 20 years? What would they be capable of if this pattern of hatred, lies, and deception was allowed to continue?

Every country can be pointed to as having faults and issues. But, the more a country has, the more focus there is on that country and the more issues others will have. Canada, while very proud, as every country should be, also sports a population less than the state of California... in a land area that is larger than the entire USA. Yet, a military that is not that large. I'm not sure that it matters at all, but taking cheap shots and calling names is not necessary for a neighbor that benefits so much to do.

What annoys me more is that I hear it so often... countries that are happy to sell to us, take our money, then shout out how much they don't like America. A world full of hypocrites pointing fingers and whining... it gets old.

GREAT !!! now all we gotta do is find some countries that actually WANT to be fed... Even Bob Geldoff quit trying to feed those that didn't....

hey guys ... i have to reiterate that I have nothing against the american people. just W and those that benefited from Iraq. (this does not include his father) because when a country invades a sovereign country, they should be slapped silly.

But wouldn't it be the end all solution to finally settle the middle east? The terrorists would be out of a job. ;) They'd end up flippin' burgers at McD's.
