I have a mixture of stainless and blued pieces. No nickel to date. The stainless are very easily cared for, sure enough! I use those to shoot the most and carry around just for that reason.
I did a trigger job on the two Smiths. The .44 has
maybe one pound. Touch the trigger and it shoots. I used to take it deer hunting at the beginning of the season when the vegetation was thick and shooting distance fairly short. The stainless .357 (model 686) has a little heavier pull, but is super smooth. Man, that thing shoots nice!
Matt, you are correct! That is a USP in .40 caliber. Really nice gun and a good cartridge.
