LOL, just put the butt of that .460 next to any intruder. The recoil will send them packing. :D
But again, it's the pain in the wallet that really hurts to shoot that thing! Some new rounds are available for the .460 that don't have the full powder load, but what's the fun of that! I haven't shot it much anyhow, I mean, I don't hunt elephants, anybody here ever hunt elephants? Not many elephants in Kentucky... however I wonder what would be left of a deer? So what do you shoot a canon at? My late godfather gifted the gun to my father and I, so that's why I have the portable canon in the first place. Very beautiful gun though.

Just got back from my CCW class, man what a bore. Now I have to send in my registration and fingerprint card and wait on DPS for two-three weeks.

I think I'm going to trade my M&P in for a Kimber pro carry II .45acp. Fired one today and feel in love.:D

Ok, slightly different gun, even more concealable than the pro carry. Went with the Ultra Carry II .45 ACP.

I really, really like this gun.:D

With my Springfield XD .45ACP

NICE!!!!

Smaller and lighter is the way to go. I like the matte black finish. Less chance to be noticed.

Nice gun, Matt!!! People keep after me to get my concealed permit, but so far I have resisted. Here are some of my noisemakers. The Colt is my latest addition. I just picked it up the other day. Havn't even shot it yet:eek: http://s165.photobucket.com/albums/u65/thedukester1/?action=view&current=noisemakers.jpg

Duke, I had no idea you were into making noise. Those are lovely. The stainless Smith would do well here in wet, ol' coastal Oregon. Let's go shootin'!! :)

Yep, I like to make noise sometimes. If not with the guns, with the HT, the Harley or the cars:D I have a mixture of stainless and blued pieces. No nickel to date. The stainless are very easily cared for, sure enough! I use those to shoot the most and carry around just for that reason.

I did a trigger job on the two Smiths. The .44 has maybe one pound. Touch the trigger and it shoots. I used to take it deer hunting at the beginning of the season when the vegetation was thick and shooting distance fairly short. The stainless .357 (model 686) has a little heavier pull, but is super smooth. Man, that thing shoots nice!

Matt, you are correct! That is a USP in .40 caliber. Really nice gun and a good cartridge.

Nice guns, RJ! That Colt is a really cool looking piece! My deceased friend I bought both of my Smiths from (he had a FFL...got 'em at cost:D :D ) had a model 29 with about that length barrel. He also loaded his own bullets. He had a standing bet that nobody could shoot all six rounds as fast as they could pull the trigger and not move their feet. You could brace yourself anyway you wanted. Nobody ever took it from him. Needless to say, the loads were a little hot:D

What's the end of the barrel? A flash arrester?
Looks like you could break down doors with that
