So, I took the center channel off the tv last night as I did notice that the weight of the center channel did push down the image. I noticed it immediately after I took it off and placed it back on that the image did indeed move. Just a heads up.

What center do you have, and what does it weigh? I really think mine dosent affect anything, but I could be wrong. Could you post up some berfore and after pics?

Were is the speaker wire going to the surround in your picture Sean? It must be that super thin silver wire, or maybe audioquest has designed invisible speaker cables to completely get rid of cable reflection.:D(not even sure this is a concern among "audiophiles", wait I just got a great idea:D)

Ah, I was waiting for someone to notice that (you can see it in my first pics too) Im waiting for a spool of wire from BJC, I orderd up some White 12/2 to wire all my speakers with. Should be here tomorrow I hope, and then I can have surround sound zen.

Damm you kids sure have changed,i remember my 1st apartment & it sure didnt look anything like yours.

We had 4 different guy's sharing a 3 bedroom apt,in the living room we used lawn furniture, the fold up kind, for end tables we stole a bunch of milk crates from behind the local grocery store & used them, out TV set was an old 19" black & white model with one of the channel selector knobs missing,we used a fork to change the channels:D

For wall decor we used all hippy type posters with pictures of flying joints that would glow in black light, all four of us put our stereo's in the living room & made one huge system, there was speakers everywhere.

The kitchen, F- that place,it was hammered, sink full of dishes & green moldy water littered with half smoked joints & ciggarette butts, the counter tops were lined with beer & liquor bottles & the occasional empty keg of beer. The refrigerator was so empty you would go blind from the bright white light until the mold took over:D

Man im getting a hangover just thinking about it.:D

Oooh dude. have fun "out-pounding" your buddy. His Klipsch speakers look f*ckin SEXY. You are gonna need a lot of oompf to pound the crap out of those sexy pieces of a$$, err..umm. i mean speaker.

whoa, mind drifted off there....

lol. anyways, your system looks sweet. very clean and with those surrounds (as soon as you get wire) I am sure it will sound great, good job!

Yeah I definatly started getting ready to move out early, and stayed with the parents late :) Ive had all my stereo stuff for years. As for the TV, I was wanting one for a few months, untill one day the girlfriend turned to me and said "Maybe if youre good today, youll get youre TV" so thats how that came around. Thanks for all the compliments guys, I really think it looks good.

Thanks,
Sean

Its an athena asc1 and I believe it weighs about 25lbs. If you go behind the tv and simply push down on it, even slightly, you could see that the picture in that area moves downward. I'll try to take some pics of it.

Hmm Ill have to look into that this weekend. On a update note, the wire came today, and its SOOOOO nice. Ill probably do that on my system and my buddys tomorrow. He also got the BJC locking banana plugs, I think Im gonna order them next :) For the person who was complimenting on his Klipsch's I dont have to worry about HIM, hes 3 floors down and on the oppiste end of the building. My neighbor on the otherhand, I think my SVS is gonna come sooner than later, just for him.

Just from looking at your system, I would try bringing the fronts slightly closer, and having less of an angle to the seating position. I'd also take the surround speakers up and wall mount them with some sort of pivoting mount. Would make for a much nicer surround sound field.

Just IMO.

I dont really know what youre talking about with the viewing angle, Im straight across from the TV. There is a chair thats on a angle, but thats not where we sit to watch movies. I have the speakers where they are for looks a lil more than sound, but there still adjusted for there position. The rears are gonna stay on stands, were allowed to put holes in the walls, but I dont really want to.

Now for the cotton balls, his dog was having problems with her ears, so he had to clean them twice a day. The easy way is to put the cleaning solution on a cotton ball and rub that around inside her ear, rather than q-tips.

Ive got the surrounds all wired yesterday, and actually cleaned up ALL the wiring. When I was at the point of having all the speaker wire to the TV stand the girlfriend was like, well that should only take you like 15 min right? I was yeah, sure.... 2 hours later I was just about done :D It looks so much nicer though, and of course its nice having surrounds again.

That's a nice looking grill but here in Austin it is illegal to have a grill of any kind on the balcony of an apartment. I believe the law was changed due to the large number of apartment fires that have occurred over the years.
