It'll just be a self-fullfilling prophecy if that does happen. There's no solid fundamentals supporting that fall. A lot of the volatility you see now is profit taking vs buying opportunity. It take a bit to cycle through. Everyone panics, the market dives (for now real reason other than the panic) astute and institutional investors buy up on the cheap, the market returns, and they sell off to make a quick buck, the market then dips again and it happens all over again... but to a lesser and lesser degree each time until it stablizes.
For instance, my company's stock has been sitting around 32 give or take... it dropped to 27, then 25, then 21. Absolutely ridiculous. I bought 50 shares at 25 and 150 at 21. We're back at 28 as of yesterday. This all happened in the span of 4 days. I wish I could bought a lot more.
