Now, you did say you knew you'd get crap when you decided to “try” something. Nothing wrong with trying something but the way you have proposed to do it will not result in an improvement of the Dolby Atmos presentation.

I seriously think it's you that has no clue, do you not grasp its a non amplified line level signal from a dedicated passive preamplifier multi channel processor into a external amplifier?
Still makes no sense to me, but it seems you won't blow anything up. It still seems like a useless stupid idea.

Perhaps not and I'm prepared for that, but for some to go as far to suggest actual fires, blown gear and saying i don't know what I'm doing is not something I need to just take.
There is 100% no risk of fire, or blown gear, those who suggest that have no business accusing anyone of not having any idea ever they are doing. This is a odd experiment that may or may not sound acceptable, or better.

Maybe it's dumb, some experiments are, but some aren't. I'm relieved that the absurd accusations of fires and blown gear are not carried by all here. Those replies are comical, and scary.

Well, you did decide to announce this idea to the world before testing it for results....a very "social media" type move.
It does go against Dolby parameters for proper Atmos, if you care about such things.
Sounds like it would ruin the Atmos placement scheme to me, and I'm sure others.
Not a fan of Atmos myself.

Lets see how you feel after you have done it. It's going to make noise, that's for sure.
Will you actually share your results ?
