Help!!! The subwoofer has some strange sound

Most of you say that it seems that the sub is bad. And no problem with the song.

That’s because we’ve played it in systems that can play it easily. The edifer CAN NOT.....

Yes. Although "sub is bad" as in, it's just not built very well. It's not an "error" aside from the overall design and build quality. If you can, return it as a dissatisfied customer. Hopefully you can.

Why? What do you think it will prove? That song has already been played on a variety of systems without any problems...
 
You might wait a long time even if someone here has that particular Edifier....and as was said, it likely won't prove anything....you've already tested another new unit with same results. It's just not good enough for what you want it to do.
 
I think this is just a case of the subwoofer being pushed past its limits. That doesn't mean it's broken or something is wrong with it, per se. It just means that sub was not built to play that kind of bass at the volumes you want to achieve.

I'm getting the impression you're trying to manufacture a mechanical defect or something so you can claim warranty?

Is it possible to play the songs on a different system at the store?
 
Why dont you record and put the sound here to listen
 
I still think that the problem is in the driver of S350DB subwoofer.
Can you give some way to prove the subwoofer is really faulty?

My assumption was that the sub was actually hitting against a physical object or causing the surround to snap taut from being "over driven" however this could also happen if something is amiss with the driver.
You might go on-line and find contact info for Edifier to get their advice on sending a substitute sub for you to compare.

its hardware malfuction. Faulty unit. Use warranty/return

I think what you meant to type was "I want there to be a problem with the driver of the S350DB subwoofer."...

It's possible, but I highly doubt it. My money is on the fact that that sub is not built or designed to play bass boosted frequencies at the volumes you want. It's the wrong subwoofer for the job.

NOT faulty. NOT faulty NOT faulty.
This thing just isn’t made to do what you want. It’s like trying to pull a 5000lb boat with a Honda Civic. Just can’t do it.....
You need something more capable. It’s as simple as that. The Edifer “sub” woofer can’t do what you want.
I’m not saying it’s junk either. It’s just not made for bass heavy BOOSTED material. Try some light jazz on it...

Lol. There definitely WILL be something wrong with the driver if he keeps it up!

Edit: it’s an 8”, ported with a “listed”FR starting at 40hz. Running hot.....
I feel like a broken record.....

That's crazy, to expect a sub like that to handle that material. It's not really my flavor of music but the bass is definitely boosted and strong.
That little sub is just plain in over its head.
Deep waters.
Underpowered and undersized.
Not big enough.
Not enough power.
Not tuned to play very deep.
No protective filtering or high pass filter to prevent over extension.

Get a better subwoofer.
