Forum Traffic Surging - from China?!

We could and should block traffic from China. Cloudflare might do the trick.
With VPNs and other means, how would that work? Traceroute is great, if this type of security isn't used, but redirection makes it very difficult.

I do not see the point of that spam from China. I can't see they have any merit, and nobody would click on those links or do business withem. It looks to me as if they are just vile naissance criminals from a pretty vile country, we should never have become dependent on.
They want to disrupt everything possible, same with Russia and now, Middle Eastern countries with religious dictators are doing it.

I just checked- only 46% adoption of IPv6 in the US- it would be harder for them to sneak past with the additional bits and built-in security.

OTOH, why should we expect China to NOT try to hack everything when THEY make so much network hardware? NDAA has had lists of vendors that should be avoided for government/military use WRT network hardware, surveillance cameras/DVR/NVR and other devices- people need to be aware of that and PAY ATTENTION to what's happening if they need security.

"Let's let China into our economy- what's the worst that could happen?".

Well, it might have been OK if the internet had never been created/activated.
